What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?

Sooooo I have more information on the stimulator. Tentatively set for the trial to start the 29th. I have to do a clearance thing Monday. Then it's on too getting approved by Medicaid. I appreciate all the positive energy and prayers y'all can spare.

I'm envious about you sticking to plan JB. And agree about Governor Baker's recent actions. I was so impressed last year by what seemed to be a solid plan. I think he is afraid that he will anger more businesses/workers now so isn't really following the plans.
I am at Mike's I was stewing about what to do yesterday morning and realized that I really wanted to see him. So I packed fast and Justice and I were here by early afternoon. We had a great long beach walk and went out to dinner last night. And had lots of laughs.
QOTD: Florida is a conundrum. Businesses were only closed down for a bit over a month last spring. Though stores and restaurants are quiet, they are still getting business so doing much better than Massachusetts. People do mostly adhere to mask wearing and distancing but definitely are less paranoid here. The rate of disease is lower here right now than a lot of states which I can only assume is because so much is outdoors at this time of year. But they are doing a terrible job with the appointment process for the vaccine. It is a nerve-wracking competition and virtually guarantees that the oldest people here will be among the last to get it because they can't handle the technology competition. Which doesn't seem right.

I have read so many articles about the frustration of getting a vaccine appointment. That sucks! And if it is so hard to get the first one, will the appointment process be better for the follow up?
They actually contact the people for the second shot so that is working okay. In the last day or so there has been discussion about setting up a statewide "registration" system. Also, potentially using a lottery to assign appointments for anyone who preregisters (online or by phone).

Mernin' y'all.
QOTD - It's Texas. We have Ken Paxton as an AG, and Abbott as Governor, with ever increasing numbers. We literally go nowhere except to HEB, and that's maybe once every two weeks. That's all I have to say about that.
Breakfast - fasting, so water. Trying to stay away from coffee until I break my fast. We shall see...
Brunch - Oatmeal with candied pecans/craisins, avocado butter, oatmilk. Slice of homemade bread with avocado butter
Snack - Toast with red pepper hummus
Lunch - Vegan hotdog with follow your heart vegan cheese, on a tortilla
Snack - Apple with peanut butter
Snack - Toast with hummus and some dried fruit
Snack - fruit smoothie
Dinner - not sure, but we have kids so I will figure something out!
I hope you all have a great Friday, and a happy weekend!
*Came back to edit food. Apparently I'm hungry today!

Paxton is such a baboons butt. So agree with your statement.

Mornin' All!
Mah Jongg today at 10:00, but nothing else scheduled for the rest of the day. YAY! I think I'll do some reading and work on a couple of projects - I need to do some things for one of my organizations, and there are a ton of things I could be doing around the house. It snowed last night - roads look OK from my window, but I'm not going to go out unless I have to.
QOTD: Wisconsin was one of the worst states for awhile, but the last couple of weeks, according to the COVID maps, it's back in line with most other states (red instead of purple - or whatever). My county is better than most - most people around here are compliant with CDC guidelines - but I know that is NOT true of some areas of the state. The hospitals in our county are pretty full (but not at capacity), but supposedly half the COVID patients are from outside the county. I guess the rural hospitals are either full or don't have the resources to treat them, so they send them here.

B: pumpkin yogurt with 2 T maple-flavored whipped topping, coffee with half & half
MS: pumpkin Fit Frappe
L: I'm fantasizing about cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie, but I really should eat one of the leftovers before they go bad (leftovers - Indian-spiced kidney bean stew, Thai-style chicken/broccoli curry (no rice), sushi - I also have some Costco chicken skewers that need to be eaten)
AS: L&F yogurt, skinny bagel with light cream cheese. And maybe an apple.
D: one of the leftover choices
have a great day, everyone!
Good morning, everybody!
We have big beautiful snow flakes falling outside today. For this weekend, I am looking forward to sleep, read and gym, that is it.
I feel a little sheepish because everybody is saying that this is a long week, but it didn't feel that way for me. I have a bunch of phone calls today and then a three day weekend.
QOTD: Illinois was leading the country in cases in early to mid-November and then fell off some, but is rising again. We have had two separate rounds of looting/riots and all of the stores downtown are boarded up. We have also had 117 highway shootings this year. So not good.
Breakfast: omlette
Lunch: chef salad
Dinner: hello Fresh
Have a great day, all!
