Hi friends! Back for a quick hello, but I will still need a few more weeks off while work continues to take 16+ hours a day. I would complain, but it's been a good distraction from the United States literally falling apart... ugh.

I am doing really great with food! I have had one day with calories over 1000, but I am generally staying below 800 and weight is finally falling off. I am down just over 3 pounds in 2 weeks, by just controlling calories (literally no exercise, because I just can't find the time right now). My plan has been to eat 4 times a day and keep each meal right around 200 calories. I had to play around, but I'm finding I am able to stay satisfied with high protein meals, well spaced through the day.

QOTD: How is your area doing with COVID these days? Massachusetts is just a mess. Our Gov was so good about shut downs early on, but now every time he put in new restrictions, they are completely stupid and ineffective--just a way for him to pretend he did something... I have literally not left the house since Christmas Eve and I don't see myself leaving again for a long time... sigh.

Pic this week is one of my handsome boys with his new fancy bowtie to match his tuxedo ;) It has a bell which I thought I would hate, but I actually love hearing his little bell ding when he runs all over the house.

Happy Friday all! I'm so happy this week is coming to an end! Absolutely no plans for the weekend and I'm very happy about that! I may actually spend that time catching up on my shows I've been neglecting. So my bariatric surgeons office told me on Wednesday that they put a referral in to plastic surgery and that I should be hearing from them in a week or two. Well I get the call yesterday from them to schedule a consultation. So I'm scheduled for February 3rd. Eek! I'm excited, but nervous at the same time as I have no clue if my insurance will even cover these surgeries. Fingers crossed!

Accountability wasn't the best yesterday. My appetite has picked up and I've been extra bloated due to that time of month. I'm hoping my appetite will calm down today and I will do better!

QOTD: ugh it's not the best here. I still don't leave the house unless I absolutely have to.

B: coffee w/Splenda x 2

B2: Fit frappe

L: 2 oz chicken breast & a laughing cow cheese wedge

D: ?

S: L&F Greek yogurt or a protein shake

I used to live near the TN/NC border (my brother still does) and I was SHOCKED at how awful the virus is in the Tri-Cities area - and evidently all over TN. Sorry to hear that it's really bad in GA, too. Although I seem to remember that from early on - the governor didn't want to put any restrictions on (or something...). Our governor does - and has tried many times - but he always has to battle with our nutty legislature and supreme court. I feel so sorry for him. Meanwhile, the virus rages on...

At least 2 people that I know that were very against masks, and also voiced that ones trump gets reelected the stupid masks would be history, are now sick with covid. One ended in a hospital, the other is still trying to recover a home. Of course they ignored the no gathering recommendation over holidays. Both have covid now. Karma is a *****

I'm fascinated by the people who are still deniers even when on ventilators.
