What's on your Sunday menu?
We've still got a jug of grout cleaner that we've used before, which unfortunately smells, so we'll have to put up with the fumes again, but hopefully with his power scrubber the job will go much more quickly, which'll mean less exposure to the fumes and less elbow grease, if all goes as planned.
this is the scrubber I got, which is of course $9 cheaper than what I paid for it last week. Figures.. Before buying it I googled "best power scrubbers" and got several places lists. This scrubber appeared on almost all of them - on some as #1, on others maybe not in the #1 spot, but on the list nonetheless.
I tried to make a "tiny url" of this, but it didn't work - so sorry about this long url!

it might be easier to just go to amazon and search for "homitt power scrubber" and look for the "Amazon's Choice" one. It's around $50 today..
I hate to admit this but I have one very similar in the basement that I used a few times and then forgot I had when I started scrubbing grout. When I bought my house, the bathtub was pretty badly stained and I did get it looking really good with this. I will remember this the next time I work on grout. I also have a steam cleaner in the basement that I have not used in several years. I am happy with the iRobot mop several times a week and using a real mop every month or so. I even bought kneepads, thinking I will feel like really scrubbing the bathrooms and kitchen floors, but have not done that yet.
Next time I use grout cleaner will be in weather warm enough to open the windows while I am using it. But let me know how it comes out.

Learning my new normal, one day at a time.
yes - I just looked up a few recipes online to get an idea of what proportions of what to use (it's important to get the right proportion of baking powder and/or baking soda, especially) and then kind of did my own thing. I did use oat flour (ground up oats in my blender) instead of regular flour - healthier and more fiber), too. Most of the recipes also called for protein powder, too - which of course I added since I wanted them to be pretty high in protein. I've used both vanilla protein powder and unflavored in the past - they both work fine. Might just need to vanilla extract or extra spices if you use unflavored. Oh - and I use Swerve (the brown sugar kind) instead of regular sugar - but any powdered artificial sweetener should work as long as it says you can use it for baking (most you can..)
Good morning! I've been up for a while, but spent some time sitting in the jacuzzi. I'm thinking that Eagle Pose I attempted Friday morning was even harder that I thought and my thigh muscles are just killing me. Kept waking me up all night. We have just a couple quick stops to make in the stores today to get stuff for the week ahead and then zero plans. Maybe I'll take a nap. Maybe I'll watch the last episode of Bridgerton!
QoTH: That I am actually a scatterbrain. Trying to get ready to leave for work and ohhhh shiny! Dusting and straightening up and ohhhhh shiny!
Menu:
B: 1/4 cottage cheese, 2 ounces turkey thigh. (and that's the end of the Christmas turkey, folks! So glad)
L: TBD
D: portabella mushroom with cheese and hamburger patty on top. I think I will probably be eating the other half of this for breakfast or lunch tomorrow.
Peace Everyone!
