What's on your Thursday Menu?

The weird thing is my mental health was only half of their consideration. It has actually gotten a tad bit worse with all the health issues I've been dealing with. Funny thing is the diabetic retinopathy is still kicking around...a lot. I hear stories about how they are extra considerate of people with eye issues. Yeah right. Texas is just a suck hole of this kind of thing unfortunately. Non of my doctors were asked about anything. My psychiatrist was dumbfounded about it, my pcp was the same. The eye specialist just said that's insane....you're going to have to deal with this the rest of your life.

Sometimes you run into an administrative person who decides you are well enough to work again. There should be a process where they talk with you and your doctors. But there is not and they can just cut you off. It will be a battle. I am sure you will get your disability back and reimbursed for the money you lost. But it is stressful and totally unfair.
I believe that we are starting a new era in our country where people will be treated better.

I truly hope so. This country needs a fresh start with people who honestly care about someone other than themselves.
thanks!

Good morning! Yesterday was stressful and demoralizing. Shameful behavior no matter where you stand on issues.
My accountability was good, though I had a few ounces of unplanned wine while watching the news. I stuck to plan on food and got a good amount of fluid in. No exercise though. I'll try again today.
QoTD: I am a General Manager and Lead sales for an industrial supply company. Started here 37 years ago as receptionist and worked my way up through every position until I made it to this one. I love my job and it is usually engaging and interesting. And stressful. Not rocket science or saving lives, but it's stressful to meet deadlines to keep our customer's production lines up and running. I have sold everything you could probably imagine. Cupcake liners for the kids who parents were stationed on the Kwajalein Islands in the Pacific and were having a Valentine's day party, an ambulance for Wake Island, every tool, fastener or hardware you could imagine, triage dummies for War Theater practice for troops going to Afghanistan. Seriously, if it's legal, I'll sell it.
Menu:
B: ground turkey and 1/4 C cottage cheese
L: left over pulled pork and tomatoes
D: pork cutlet, salad, 2 oz baked potato

Learning my new normal, one day at a time.
Good morning. I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head about the events from yesterday. I was downtown at the time everything was going on and they got police helicopters up quickly. I'm close to Los Angeles City Hall so I worked to the drone of helicopter rotors all day. I was, and remain, horrified I had a court appearance this morning that starting at 8:30 and didn't end until 10:15 My portion of that time, 2 minutes. My phone almost died. I'm looking forward to the weekend. It's been a long week.
QOTD: I'm a defense attorney.
My plan:
B: fairlife latter (x2)
L: leftover chicken from lunch yesterday
D: unknown. I was going to make bunless burgers, but the butcher didn't give me patties, but plain ground beef. Yes, I'm too lazy to season and form it into patties.
S: Pear
E: None. Although it's my favorite class of the week, I cancelled parking lot spin on doctor's orders. I'll try to go back on Saturday
QOTD- I'm an Outside Plant Engineer for a telephone/fiber company. Responsible to design the cable from the office to the customer. I started as a Special Services Tester on the Private Line Board back when it was Ma Bell, I went outside to be a Cable Splicer and eventually ended up as an engineer. I have to say my favorite job was as a splicer, I loved working outside but the weather was not always easy to deal with, give me a nice manhole and I can make it comfortable for the day.
I'm still so appalled by what happened on Wednesday. It was insane and I'm still processing it.
My Mom is going to a rehab facility for at least a week. It's one that a friend of hers has a daughter that works there, so at least I'll have someone to check up on her since no visitors are allowed.
Have a great day everyone!
