Kidney stones

One year post op and now kidney stones- anyone else dealing with this? Any insight?

not sure what is causing yours, but my endocrinologist had me cut back on calcium supplementation because I was excreting so much calcium in my urine. She said that would put me at risk for kidney stones.

Did you have them before RNY?

In any case - I hope they find out what minerals they are. i hope they do analysis.

Some people have them just because of their genetics. Did anyone in your family suffered from them?

In any case, the main recommendation is more water. There are meds you can take, etc.

Never had any before and apparently it is common after rny

I had RNY in 2007 and kidney stones in 2019. Drink more water, add lemon to the water.
