Good morning everyone. I had a great day yesterday! I stuck to plan and no wine! I really think that journaling is helping me. One day at a time, right?
QOTD- As a kid, we built many snowman and ice caves. I grew up out in the valley and we always got a lot of snow. Happy memories of snowmobiling and being pulled behind the car on innertubes. I don't like the snow now, mainly because of the stress of driving in it. We did get snow on Christmas day this year, which was wonderful. I'm thankful that it quickly melted.
Here is the food plan for today
2 medium eggs, 3 oz pepperino garlic ham, siracha
1 can albacore tuna with 2 T. feta dill yogurt dressing
Halibut in the airfryer , tomato cucumber salad with balsamic vinegar
Lots of water and hot tea. I have cut way back on my coffee. I am hoping to quit all together. I am down to 1/2 c.black coffee in the mornings. I just don't like it feels in my stomach. I also feel like it makes me hungry before I should be. I am also trying to stick to 3 meals a day with no snacking.
I am headed out for a walk when it gets light out. It's amazing how much better I feel when I get fresh air. I can also feel the dark cloud of PMS looming. I hate it! I really wish my doctor would have other options besides birth control pills.
Have a great day, be kind to yourself. We are all in this together and better days are ahead!
Mornin' All!
It's a beautiful, sunny day today, but I won't be going anywhere - except out to get the cat food that I intended to get yesterday but never got around to. I have too much to do today - I have an adult education class this morning, a couple of meetings to prepare for, and a large online lecture I have to prepare for, too. Plus all the other little things that have been on my list for days (if not weeks...or months...)
we had MIL over for dinner last night. We had black bean soup and cornbread - and salad. I did OK with the soup and salad. Not with the cornbread. I intended to have half a piece (about 1 oz), but I had three full pieces. Feeling it this morning. Luckily there isn't much left (DH ate a bunch, too - and my skinny MIL just had one piece and said she was full - why can't I be like that??? This is why intuitive eating probably wouldn't work for me...too much risk when I let my guard down. I wish I had the same resolve that I had that first year post-WLS!!!)
QOTD: not by myself. We did build a few with my dad years ago when we were kids, though.
TSS: 5y7m
B: plain Greek yogurt with cranberry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: Fit Frappe
L: black bean soup and salad
AS: protein pumpkin muffin - maybe a L&F yogurt, too
D: turkey chili and salad
ex: something - since i didn't do any yesterday. Maybe a cardio class or two...
Good morning, Need to make this quick. After yesterday's edition of the flooring saga, we are all hours behind in work. But, the floor now looks awesome, so we are able to close that chapter.
I did excellent on exercise yesterday, and not bad on food. I ended up eating about 1-2 ounce each of 3 different types of chicken from Panda Express and maybe an 1/8th cup of low mein as my dinner. But I got in a good walk and 50 minutes of yoga and did perfectly for my other meals.
QoTD: nope, just little stinking rock and stick filled wanna be's.
Menu:
B: 2 oz ground turkey w 1/4 C cottage cheese
L: 1/2 stuffed bell pepper with ground turkey and 1.5 oz fresh mozzerella
D: I spent all day yesterday slow roasting a pork shoulder (or butt, depending on where you live) and it's amazing. Tonight we are having it served roast style with mashed potatoes (just 2-3 bites for me) and salad. So many pulled pork meals are going to be on my lists this week!
S: jerky or whisps if needed

G'morning all!
A wise woman said "back on track" is soooo much harder than "staying on track", and boy do I feel that. Sugar detox is the worst and the headache yesterday was atrocious, but I gotta pay my dues for my 3 weeks of transgressions. All afternoon I was looking for something sweet so I added sf jello to my menu and even went the salty route with some sesame seeds just to change the taste in my mouth.
QOTD: funny you mentioned snowman. My mom is going through some old pics with my dad in them and sent me this pic a few days ago. You guys all mention the storm of 1985, I have no idea what year it was in Italy, but this is the year we got the snow and made a snowman. My first and only time. We always went skiing to the mountains but never had that much snow at home to build a snowman.
Accountability: stick to the plan but added some extra snacks, see below.
My meals yesterday:
- B: protein coffee
- L: hb eggs & tuna
- S: L&F yogurt, SF jello (2), roasted sesame seeds (3 tbsp)
- D: turkey meatballs
- E: 30 minutes cardio + 50 minutes strength training
Happy taco Tuesday!
