What's on your Tuesday Menu?
Your snowman story is so great. That had to be a lot of fun. There used to be a lot more snow when I was growing up. We built a huge snowman just about every weekend. My brothers made the huge snowballs for the base and middle and I always made the head.
I was also in charge or decorating. We actually had a coal bin, so the eyes and mouth were easy. After we got a gas furnace, we used rocks and gravel. My mother did not always have the right size carrot. I can remember getting creative with things like a potato nose. And we had a lot of old hats that my dad no longer wore.
But of course there was no top hat there. So our snowman would have either a man's gray felt hat, or a knit cap with a matching scarf. When we made a snow family, they usually all had knit hats. There was always a box of gloves and mittens with one missing. So the mittens would end up on a snowman, but never a matching pair.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
hi all- well since I didn't sleep yesterday I had a nap lunch then went to bed early last night. I also 'slept in' and logged into work at 7:45 which is late for me.
food plan worked last night- I didn't plan my evening snacks out so ended up with an apple and edamame and hearts of palm which wasn't too bad. drop in the scale overnight to the lower end of range. Would love to get down another 3 pounds by the end of the month, we will see.
QOTD: I grew up in GA so any snow meant trying to build a snowman. I think if we gathered ALLL the snow that fell we could get one. we had a big snow storm in 1992 and got to go sledding down a main road that was fun.
food plan:
b; coffee with premier
water
chicken sausage/ egg whites/joseph pita
b2: pear/smart cake
l: chicken soup again
d: chicken taco (will have one taco shell)
s: unsure probably should plan it so im not eating random weird crap
Good morning, happy taco tuesday!
QOTD - I did, in the great snow of 1985 that happened in San Antonio. By some fluke of nature, we got 12-14 inches that year. It was fantastic. I was in 6th grade, and we of course did everything we saw on TV, from snowball fights to snow angels and building snowmen. By the end of the day, I was definitely over the snow and colder than I had ever been in my life. It was pretty awesome though.
Breakfast - fasting so hot black coffee, water
Lunch - diced potatoes and kale guisada, toast with vegan butter
Snack - cosmic crisp apple with peanut butter
Snack - fruit smoothie
Dinner - Pasta with veggies, another veggie, crusty bread with some vegan butter
Have a great day everyone!

I was in SA year before last when you guys got the big snowflake looks just like in the movies snow. I got back to my hotel and the entire staff was outside playing in it and my local colleagues were so excited. It really was a bit magical...and they all said the last time it happened was 1985, lol.

Good morning JB and Menuers,
Julia that is great to hear all your hard work is paying off on that scale. 800 calories don't seem like much and the fact that you are doing it is impressive. I never got back yesterday to read so I skimmed over the post I did not view and I see I owe condolences and Happy Birthdays to a few of you. You know who you are. God Bless you.
OK if my day today is like yesterday I will not be able to walk away from my desk. I was so busy and even stayed an hour late in the office trying to fix a computer glitch with a technician that of course did not get fixed. I am going to get back on it as soon as I post.
QOTD: Not in many years but we definitely did as kids. I lived in a neighborhood and I was the youngest of about 25 kids and grew up in the 60's and 70's. As soon as we were aloud out to play we would not come home till Dad whistled to bring us home. We were always outside. I never remember being in the house to much. We lived on a huge hill so we had great sled ridding right in our yard. Still to this day I would live to go sledding but with DH in pain does not look like it will happen any time soon.
