What's on your Monday Menu?
Good morning all! I have a feeling this is going to be a long week being the first full week back to work after the holidays. To top it off it's going to be extra busy! Sigh....had to get back to reality eventually I guess.
Accountability was so so yesterday. It was good in that I ate healthy all day, but my stomach was like a bottomless pit so I felt like I overate a little too much. Not only so I tend to eat when I'm bored or emotional, but I've realized I eat when I'm stressed as well and I think I was stressed about this week so I ate.....sigh. Gotta work on that!
QOTD: I track calories, carbs, fat and protein. I try to find a good balance, but I pay attention mostly to calories. I have been trying to stay around 800 calories a day because I'm still trying to lose and now I'm trying to lose my regain. My nutritionist told me to stick to around 1000-1200 calories a day to maintain my weight, but I feel like I'd still gain with that amount of calories. 800 is tough....very tough for me. It was a lot easier right after surgery, but now protein shakes don't keep me full like they used to and I'm finding it hard to not go over 800. Some days I am right at 800. Other days I'm a little below and most days I go over. I'm really trying though because I do want to EVENTUALLY meet my goal!

Good morning on a rainy, raw Cape Cod day. I travel south today so I should be in sunny 70 degree weather around 2 this afternoon. I was so happy to put my winter uniform away (down jacket, Ugg boots, gloves, etc). I survived 3 weeks in very quiet isolation other than small visits with close family and friends, but I am looking forward to getting out in the sun and fresh air a lot more in Florida.
I haven't weighed in a couple of weeks, so I need to get back on the wagon for a few days, weigh and buckle down to get the extra weight off (again). My guess is that it is about 10 this time. But it was a tough holiday all around, so I was okay with not being vigilant.
QOTD: I have been counting WW points and paying attention to protein but not much else over the last year. Prior to that on MFP, it was calories and protein. I felt like my fat and carbs landed in about the right place if I paid attention to the other (which may or may not be true). My maintenance calories are about 1300 which I have a tough time with. I drop below 800 to lose weight, but I can't imagine having to be there every day.

Good morning menu crew.
So begins a busy week. Today my mom has to get some blood work done. Her doctor thinks she might have pre-diabetes. So they are checking her a1c. She's been doing well and has lost a lot of weight since her mini stroke. I worry about her.
My eye started messing up again yesterday. I see the specialist Friday so we'll see...I'm pretty upset over it. My blood sugars have been really good. Ugh. This will be with me the rest of my life.
QOTD: I try to pay attention to the carbs and protein. I can't do a lot of fat as it makes me really feel icky.
b: egg, gf toast, chicken sausage and coffee
l: chicken chunks, small salad, salsa, chao cheese, tofutti sour cream
d: ???
s: popcorn, gf bread and ???

Good Morning! Today is my birthday but we were able to celebrate yesterday since I didn't end up having to work. We couldn't do much but it was nice to relax a bit before the busy week starts. I did wake up to streamers throughout the house, including in the workout room- I am loved! JB- take good care of yourself during this extremely busy time.
Accountability: Much better on my snacking. For my birthday treat, I had a birthday cake "eat me guilt free" brownie. The brand is "eat me, guilt free" that I found at Vitamin Shoppe, decent macros and yummy.
QOTD: I track/watch calories, protein, carbs and fat for the most part. I use MFP as well.
