Mornin' All!

well we got freezing rain and snow last night, so I guess I'll be inside again today (I probably would be anyway, since I don't have to go out to get anything. Since the weather turned cold, going to the grocery store has become the highlight of my week again...). I need to get some exercise since I'm feeling like a fat slug, and I have online Mah Jongg from 10:00-noon. Not sure what else is on tap. This is going to be L-O-N-G winter...

my weight is still up two lbs even though I've done OK calorie-wise since Christmas (which was a disaster). But yesterday I had a cup of turkey chili for lunch and sliced pre-cooked turkey breast with a small Caesar salad (6 croutons, no Parmesan, and light Caesar dressing) for dinner, so it's probably just sodium overload. I'll be slamming the fluids today..

QOTD: Nope. I would be miserable. I could take a weekend of it at most. I need electricity, indoor plumbing, modern medicine - also, the internet (even though I could go for a couple of days without the latter - and probably should!). I can't even imagine what it would be like if we were dealing with COVID back then. Having Zoom has been a lifesaver for me these last few months! I have a new appreciation for people who lived through the 1918 pandemic!

TSS: 5y6m

B: Greek yogurt, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: turkey slices, sweet potato

AS: yogurt and fruit - or a protein pumpkin muffin

D: pulled chicken in a chipotle/tomato sauce - maybe another "diet" Caesar salad (I love them but...the salt...)

ex: I'm planning to do a strength-training AND a cardio video today...I need both!

have a great day, everyone!

Yes! I have thought so much about 1918 these last few months. Without the internet I would have either had to go to work and would have gotten sick, or I would have lost my job. Not to mention, I don't know how I would have survived without Amazon delivering my every whim. Whenever people complain about everything that they are missing from having to stay indoors I just remind them how lucky we are that we can stay inside!

Nope nope, I won't even go camping. I will go clamping (comfy bed, champagne, nice bathroom) but no olden times for me! When I was in my 20s and backpacking all over the world I stayed at sketchy hostels with shared rooms and bathrooms so I am not some fancy snob, I've just been there done that and now I like to sleep in a comfy bed and have electricity :)

Julia you do NOT look fat - I have seen your recent pics! I swear to you.

I have a WEIRD week planned. I am technically "off" but I have things to do, but zero motivation. Wed I have a hair appt and Thurs I have to meet a painter for a quote at the condo and show the condo to someone. So I guess I should buckle up today and just bang it out and enjoy the rest of the week.

Julia, can you make tomorrow's QOTD what are people doing for New Years? It's a discussion in our house. The kids are requesting appetizers for dinner and ice cream sundaes. I was more thinking, activities?

Although I am off of work, I dragged my ass up for my 7 am zoom exercise class.

B: Leftover chicken thigh, spicy peppers, cheddar

L: Chicken and feta and hummus and pita

D: Veggie burgers/chicken patties and fries for Kris/Kids. No clue for me.

Have a fab day all!

I am not fishing for compliments--I needed to face that reality to get my ass in gear. And although I never want to see the pic again, I SHOULD tack it on the fridge & pantry as a reminder!

And yes--QOTD noted for tomorrow :)

I feel you 100%. And I worry because I never saw how heavy I was pre-op either--I had some sort of reverse body dysmorphia. I guess I knew how to take cute selfies, and for some reason I never saw how bad it was in the mirror. So I am worried I am not seeing it again.

Good Morning JB and Menuers,

I did not fall off the face of the earth just the holiday got in the way. But not without a fight. This is the first Christmas I can say I actually stuck to my diet plan without screwing it up to badly. Only 1 homemade cookie 1 piece of fudge and 1 piece(tiny) of cream puff cake. Other than that I pretty much came out of this unscathed. And I really enjoyed the low key holiday without all the hustle and bustle. On Christmas eve I usually have to work till noon then they have a luncheon and then we get out of here around 2or three. Then I got to get home pack the car with gifts and whatever dish I make for 3 separate parties we are obligated to attend. We usually do not get home till 1 in the morning if not later then we host Christmas and sometimes it is as many as 15/20 for dinner. This year is was 5 yes I said 5. It was glorious. Only had to run the dish 2x.

Wish I could say the same for Thursday and Friday. I am keeping it small. Only 9 for New years Eve(that's counting the twins) and New years day will 8. Still small enough to hit the CDC guidelines but not as low key as Christmas.

QOTD: Yes I would thrive in days without Modern conveniences. I still do most of my baking and cooking from scratch. If I didn't have to work and had more time I would even like to make my own butter, cheese, ricotta. flour, I cringe when someone brings something to my house that is 100% store bought and doesn't even put it in a new container and pretend they made it themselves.

Accountability: I took off of exercise Christmas eve and Christmas day but been back on the treadmill ever since.

TSS: 3 years 0 Months and 17 day 131.4 (Lowest 129.4)

MS: Premier Apple cinnamon oats Protein shake and berries

L: Eggwhich and snack selects.

D: Leftover Beef wellington and Green Beans.

Exercise: 40 minutes of Treadmill. (done)

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and my blood work has been great. My B12 has been High so I cut my sublingual to every 3rd or 4th day. And I have now added 500mg of Magnesium

Everybody have a Great week.

Brightest Blessing

Chrissy

Good morning!

This was a slow long weekend, and I am almost glad it's over. My Dad is at our house with us, so we really can't go anywhere. No restaurants due to Covid, and no places that we could wander outdoors because his rheumatoid arthritis is SO bad, it's difficult for him to walk more than a hundred feet. But I am really enjoying spending time with my dad. My team mate and I here at work just decided to use up more of our PTO and I'll take a half day today, he'll take one tomorrow. All hands on deck Wednesday as we have to strip out the office again for the new flooring. Pray for us that it gets done right this time!

I ate on track yesterday again, including the toffee I added to my menu yesterday. Dang that stuff is so good. I estimate I have 3 more 1 ounce nibbles left, so I'll just keep adding it to my total calories. My weight has settled back into what is my sweet spot for now, so I will continue with the status quo until my weight either starts dropping again (no more, I'm like a scrawny 13 year old these days) or starts going up more than the pound or two I am bouncing around.

QOTD: No chance in hell. I'm spoiled and don't mind admitting it.

Menu:

B: 2 oz keilbasa with 1/2 strip of bacon wrapped around (bought these premade at the gourmet shop, so yummy)

L: left over shepard's pie.

D: left over turkey, bit of mashed potatoes, gravy, asparagus. Adding a slice of bread to the hubs and Dad's for an open faced sandwich for them.

S: toffee bite!

Peace Everyone!

Good morning, everybody!

I'm in the same boat. Too much eating and drinking, unflattering photos, etc. No dogs, spewing explosive diarrhea all over my house, though, so I've got that going for me. Our office is shut down this week, so that means I don't have to work unless a client wants something. Usually its pretty slow.

DD is home until tomorrow and my son will be home for a couple of weeks. He got Honor Roll his first semester at Mines, so he is quite happy about that.

QOTD: Although I would not enjoy the untreated infections or rustic plumbing, I think that I would love the solitude.

Breakfast: omlette

Lunch: Tenderloin

Snack: nuts

Dinner: Hello Fresh

Have a great day, all!
