Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! I'm actually working today.

I stopped by and saw my Mom yesterday, and dropped off a Stollen to her. I ended up with 2 since the girls at the salon didn't know what they are or want them. It is sweet bread with candied fruit, and raisins in it with powdered sugar frosting. It is one of our Christmas traditions. It's not as good as my Moms but she didn't have to bake it.

I never heard of it until it was on the Great British Baking Show for a Christmas dessert. Looks wonderful.

Before surgery I was soooo in love with stollen....it is so good!

Merry Christmas and it's Fri-yay! We are lounging watching Wonder Woman 1984 and hanging out. I'm not sure what else we have going on for the weekend. JB- I'm grateful for you and all the effort you put into keeping this group going.

My menu today is pretty typical, nothing really out of the ordinary.

I hope anyone who celebrates had a nice day and for Everyone, that they had a quiet day to relax in the craziness of this year. My partner was a sweetie and ordered me some of the new Premier Protein flavor. I am wondering if it is online only because I could not find it in-store. It was ok. It just tasted a lot like chocolate to me...maybe a whiff of hazelnut scent? I know some don't like the texture but I was able to handle it in my coffee, (not the whole bottle of course)

I actually have some cheese bought in advance for NYE; hopefully, the teens will stay out of it. They have been warned that it is for part of the menu for NYE! I really do not want to trek into a store again for awhile. The stores are always nuts around this time of year but TBH I am more worried about the projected post-holiday covid surge and any new strains that might be mixing it up in the petri dish of society.

I haven't been able to be on as much as I would like due to life stuff so maybe I missed a post but does anyone know where karenp8 is/or just that she is ok? I miss her posts and she used to post a lot about her and her daily doggo walks, etc. and seemed so consistent with her meals and exercise etc

I hope everyone is doing well. It was a white, artic holiday here too!

Karen occasionally leaves comments on FB posts, so I wasn't too, too worried - but yea, she hasn't posted here in a long time. I know they're out of town a lot on longish-term volunteer stints and not all the sites have great internet connections, so that may be part of it - but I'll send her a FB message when I get off of here and ask..

Thank you so much. I hesitated to post the question but she was such a regular poster that hopefully she is just busy with life but knows that she is missed, (but not in a weird, stalkerish way, lol)
