Good morning,

QOTD - Most days just keeping my own mental health and positivity up is hard enough but, that being said... in any interaction I have with people, I try to keep it authentic and genuine. I thank them for whatever service they may be providing for me. I wish them to be well, and their families as well. I mean, it's a small thing but it's really what I am capable of that doesn't seem overly fake or trying to hard. I just try to do everything in kindness.

*Came back to edit something I did today! My mother in law went and got a couple of boxes of donuts this morning, I got a card and we went to surprise our vet's office! (Between the two of us, we have ten dogs that they take care of). They were very appreciative of still warm donuts, and although it was a small thing, I know they were happy. It made MY day to give them something that I hope they enjoy. I think THIS is what helps ME feel good. Truly, that little altruistic streak in me shines and I'm happiest when I'm serving others. I'm so glad my MIL let me be a part of it! She's such an amazing woman.

Breakfast - Fasting so hot black coffee, and water

Lunch - I have no clue, I have not planned for today and I have a bazillion things to do. It may end up being some leftover pasta and veggies thrown together

Snack - fruit smoothie

Snack - apple with peanut butter

Dinner - baked potato, vegan cheese, salad

Have a great day everyone!

Christina

Good morning everyone,

I'm with you on being ready to call this work week over! Ughhh so much to squeeze into a short time-frame. Today I'm going to close my office door so I can get everything done without interruptions.

They announced Monday that our province will be in lockdown Dec 26th which I think is for the best. Our region has been basically untouched by the pandemic so I'm EXTREMELY thankful but our neighboring municipality is having major issues and I'm noticing that they are coming here to do all of their errands and shopping. With schools being closed til mid January, the lockdown should flatten the curve before things get our of control... praying!

QOTD: This year I've tried to be more mindful of the "good" I see in people and have been sending out little notes or thank you cards to make sure they know they are appreciated.

B - protein shake

L - turkey & cheese string

S - greek yogurt, 1/2 apple

D - chicken-feta-spinach sausage with broccoli

S - turkey pepperettes

Good Morning JB and Menuers,

I am a big fan of the squirrel table. I have a squirrel feeder in my back yard I love watching them. However I want the horse head squirrel feeder and no one has caught on that it would be a great gift for me yet. I tend to crack up every time I see it.

So they finally gave us our customers Logo gifts yesterday afternoon around 3:00PM. I have to make this quick because what I used to do in a weeks time has now been minimized to 1 day. No one will get them till after Christmas. Hope no one is too disappointed but I was not the one in charge of this. GRRRRRR.

QOTD: Yes hmmm I am such a grumpas. I passed out cookie boxes to the people I like and help me throughout the year.

Accountability: I have been snacking on those damn Carmel covered cheese balls.

TSS: 3 years 0 Months and 12 day 131.6 (Lowest 129.4)

MS: Premier Apple cinnamon oats Protein shake and berries

L: Eggwhich and snack selects.

D: BBQ chicken bake and glory greens. (probably)

Exercise: 40 minutes of Treadmill. (done)

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and my blood work has been great. My B12 has been High so I cut my sublingual to every 3rd or 4th day. And I have now added 500mg of Magnesium

Everybody have a Great day.

Brightest Blessing

Chrissy

A lot of sales people are sending their customers an email with a picture of the gift that is not going to get there on time for Christmas.

Good morning, everybody!

I woke up at 4:00 and couldn't get back to sleep. Then I went downstairs and almost immediately fell asleep and missed the first half of my 7:30 conference call.

I don't have anything formal on my work calendar for the rest of the year, but things will come up, they almost always do. In the olden days, clients would have their holiday parties today and stop calling. Now that everybody is working at home, I don't know if we will get that relief. Maybe they will be having Zoom calls or just breaking into their wine supplies.

DD is coming home this afternoon, so I will probably be picking her up at the airport later this afternoon. We are having sushi and crab legs for Christmas Eve on Thursday.

Not sure if I will post for the next few days, but i will be reading. Next week we will have to discuss the reporter who has fallen in love with Martin Shrekli.

One last thing. Yesterday was the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. The winning coach get doused with Fries instead of Gatorade.

QOTD:

I try to be polite to everybody that I meet and especially to be kind to people that have difficult jobs.

Breakfast: Sausage and cottage cheese

Snack: Protein Bar

Lunch: meatballs

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all! Happy Holidays!

How does one sign up for getting doused with french fries, because I volunteer as tribute!

Mornin' All!

I have my online Mah Jongg game at 10:00, then I may do a virtual cardio class (for seniors) at 1:00. I'm laying off Zumba for awhile because my arthritic hip, which usually doesn't bother me much, has been out of control the last few days. Unfortunately, Zumba, which I love, might be too much for it. A class designed for seniors might be better (or at least for my hip, anyway...). If not, something like Walk Away the Pounds should probably work. I also have to make the Christmas cheesecake today, because I'll be making the Christmas lasagna tomorrow. And I need to get the living/dining room shoveled out and in order since we'll be eating out there on Friday.

I think I should start zooming with friends, like some of you do. I'm feeling really socially isolated lately - moreso than I have been - probably because it's cold so I can't meet up with people for biking or outdoor dining/coffee. It's really starting to affect me. This could be a L-O-N-G winter...

QOTD: I really need to think of something to do in this respect, because I haven't really done much. Although the last few days I've made two batches of biscotti (two different recipes) and taken half of them over to a friend's (she calls me "the porch fairy"). I was thinking of making her more next week because she and her husband love them, although I really don't need this stuff in my house. Even if I give her ALL of the finished product, I'm still taste-testing (sampling one right out of the oven - and another once they're cool (and that's only when I'm being "good") - licking beaters, etc). I'll have to think of something safer to give her. As for other friends, I haven't done anything - but then, I rarely hear from them. I think everyone is just hibernating in their houses right now...

TSS: 5y6m

B: plain Greek yogurt with diced mango, coffee with half & half

MS: Fit Frappe

L: I should probably eat leftovers (we have pulled chipotle chicken, turkey chili, and a hunk of turkey breast - plus a broccoli dish), but I'm kind of just in the mood for cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie, so maybe that.

AS: light yogurt with fruit or a skinny bagel with light cream cheese

D: one of the leftover choices...

have a great day, everyone!

Good morning! It is very quiet at my job as most of my customers are either out of money or on holiday break. Even so, we've had a pretty stellar sales week due to previous quote work. Which means it will be really quiet in a couple weeks, because we are not generating a lot of quotes this week or next. Makes for long days, but plenty of time for organization. I've already packed out my office for the dreaded re-do of our floors. Everything has to go and it's being completely stripped down to concrete, sanded, and reinstalled properly. What a major pain in the ass. At least the company we bought the flooring from is trying hard to right the wrong.

My Dad arrives today for a very quiet, sheltered holiday week. I'm planning on lots of cooking for him and the hubs, and lots of games of cards. I'm not sure how we've done it, but the hubs managed to squeeze a 15 pound turkey and a 6 pound honey baked ham into our already full fridge. I'm already putting together recipes to try with leftovers. Feel like I may not need to buy protein for a month.

QOTD: I make a concentrated effort to send a fun or loving text message to everyone in my group of friends every week or two. It prompts a bit of fun back and forth, a little catch up and give me an opportunity to remind them I miss their faces.

Menu:

B:roasted chicken breast and 1/4 c cottage cheese

L: ground beef patty w/1 ounce English cheddar, 1/4 c potatoes and roasted carrots. (End of these left overs, YAY!!!)

D: vegetable torte, and creamy parmesan and sun dried tomato chicken breast recipe. Looks amazing, hope it taste close to that.

I stayed out of the toffee yesterday! Yay me. Much easier day to manage hunger wise and down a pound today.

Peace Everyone!
