What's on your menu (Tuesday)

I took these pics to show exactly how tiny it is and how people are in a frenzy to get close. This was in 2016.

I can't imagine being that close to that many people ever again.

OMG I can't wait to be in a large crowd of people without masks. I want normalcy damnit!

Ugh not me. I miss travel, but frankly I can't believe I ever used to let people breathe on me, and have no interning of letting it happen again!

Masks for life....and thinking back to march and how many people were shocked by the "hand washing instructions"; I'm never shaking hands again....but I'll travel, even if it's masked and gloved, lol.

I wonder what it is about that painting that people go so ape over? I mean, it's a great painting - but there are tons of great paintings. I don't know right off hand of any other painting that people go so crazy over..

Exact opposite reaction to David - no idea how big it was.

OMG, right?
But for me living so close to Florence, every school's field trip included a visit to David so I was used to his size. But first time I saw Mona Lisa I was actually underwhelmed.
If you ever get a chance, read Oil and marble. It's the story of their rivalry when they were both creating David & Mona Lisa.

That book would be right up my alley

I fell in love with the David and it was the hardest thing to walk away from him.
