I have been to the BPL! I used to work a couple of blocks from it. It has been a number of years though and now I just visit virtually to check out kindle books.

3 days before my WLS a friend and I flew to Boston to be waiting at the BPL when another friend and her family "just happened" to walk by on her way in and we surprised her for her 50th birthday...it was awesome. Then of course, we went in and explored, so pretty.

Good morning, happy Taco Tuesday!
QOTD - I've never been, but as a gift to my daughter my ex husband and I sent her to Europe as her graduation gift (high school). She called me the night of her trip to The Louvre and sent me pictures that night. One of the photos was her in front of the Mona Lisa, and she was sort of positioned in a way where you could see them both. I saw tears in her eyes. She told me how much smaller it was than what she imagined, and she told me a story of getting lost there, and finally stopping and taking a moment to look up and when she did...she happened to see a painting on the ceiling (I wish I knew the name) that happened to be one that she knows and loves. She described the smells, and the air and so many things and by the end of the call she was just so overwhelmed with joy and feelings. You have to understand, this kid is a Gemini. She deals in facts, not feelings. She is also majoring in Physics/Engineering, so that helps understand her brain. But she is an accomplished artist in her own right and of course as her mother, I am absolutely her biggest fan. I may not make it to The Louvre (I'm not a huge fan of traveling) but the way she described it, I felt like I was there. Also, for full transparency I am really missing my kiddo right now. She's about 20 minutes away from me but since living in a different household with my 65 year old mother, we have been social distancing as its's the safe thing to do and I just really really miss her.

Sending you a hug! Missing people and the isolation is pretty rough. Even though it's the right thing doesn't make it easier!

Aww thank you! We do get to see Clint's kids every two weeks, (they are being schooled at home, their mom and step dad working from home, so it's safe) but it's not the same. And now they are out of town until after Christmas so it's just us and the dogs. I'm just having a few moments of pity party this morning! LOL thank you for the virtual hug tho!!

It's everybody's reaction to Mona Lisa! You don't expect it to be so small. DD said "this is it?" She us a Gemini too.
But from what your DD explained to you seems like you were on a virtual tour with her. Very cool.
