What's on your menu (Tuesday)

Happy Tuesday, Everyone! JB is commuting today so I am starting us off! My meme game is not up to par, but I took a picture this sign and I believe this is a very important safety tip.
QOTD - what is your favorite museum you have been to or one that you really want to go to?
I love museums, all of them! My favorites are the Adler Planetarium in Chicago, The Museum of Nature and Science in Denver, and the American Museum in NY. I volunteered at the DMNS for 10 years but for those three, I've probably visited them at least a 100 times, not counting my volunteer shifts. When I was volunteering, I'd go an hour early most shifts and I'd visit one of my favorite exhibits or just people watch. (I highly recommend the Konovalenko Gem carvings, when ever a take people there, that's my first stop and I visit them regularly). The minerals and gems exhibit is also really good and they do an amazing job with visiting exhibitions!
My girlfriends and I also tried to visit the Phallological Museum in Reykjavik but it was closed that morning so it's on my list to visit next time and I wasn't able to visit the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London because I had 6 days worth of things in my 4 days in London, lol, so I'll start there next time.
Today is another busy meeting day (that will be my refrain all 5 days); slightly shorter than yesterday's start at 5:30a/hang up from last call at 6:42p, I think.
menu today is
coffee + half and half X 3
Egg bites
Italian Beef with slice cheddar
not sure about dinner
L&F greek when I get back from tonight's Pilates Jump Class
Hamstring is better today so the rest day was good! I was going to do pilates and a rowing session but I rescheduled the rowing until later. I'm trying to get in the 12 work outs of Christmas so I get the latest fridge magnet, lol.
Have a great day everyone!

G'morning all!
Thanks Jen for starting us off. Your pic made me laugh. When growing up we always had this "game" going on in the family that if there is famine which family members should be eaten first. I know, morbid but what can I say? We kids thought it was hilarious. My dad always said we shouldn't worry because the women in our family had curvy figures and there was enough meat to last us a long time just off the butts!
QOTD: the museums in DC! All of them! I am so jealous of whoever lives in DC (looking at you Em) and has access to all of them. The one that left an impression on me is the Holocaust museum, you know the history but when you see it with your own eyes it's different. I always have to have tons of tissues with me when I go there. The other one is the new African American History museum. Wow! A fun one is the spy museum.
My meals yesterday:
- B: protein coffee
- L: hb eggs + tuna
- S: PP shake + espresso
- D: frilled chicken + cauliflower rice
- E: 30 minutes cardio + 50 minutes strength training
Happy taco Tuesday!

The new African American History museum is beyond incredible. I agree, that's a top pick. Can you believe I have not visited the Holocaust Museum in DC yet???? I lived in Eastern Europe for a year and did a lot of traveling, so I have actually been to Dachau and Auschwitz concentration camps, as well as literally dozens of Holocaust museums. Not to mention the best one in Jerusalem, Yad Vashem. I've never been able to talk myself into going to the museum here because it's basically committing yourself to having a sad, depressing, contemplative day :(
One of my favorite museums is Musee d'Orsay in Paris. It's in an old train station and just the coolest space!
PS is "frilled chicken" a typo or is there some new food I don't know about?!
I was so concerned about the affect Yad Vashem would have on me. I didn't want to spend the rest of my time in Jerusalem depressed, but I totally didn't. It was uplifting. And the Righteous Among The Nations walkway with the trees commemorating individuals who did what they could to help was amazing. It shows that there's good, and that it may prevail over the evil. Highly recommended.

When we did our Czech/Poland trip, we did visit Auschwitz. I think everyone should visit and really see and feel it. I simply cannot imagine. Are you on twitter? The Auschwitz museum has a twitter thread and every day they bring attention to someone who was there....it is heartbreaking but I look at it each day because we have to remember.

If you appreciated the Holocaust Museum in DC, I highly recommend Yad Vashem in Israel. I've been to the museum in DC and the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, but I have never been moved as much as I was at Yad Vashem. They have Schindler's List so you can see the actual list he created to save people from certain death. The Hall of NAmes, with its dome and photos of people who perished brought me to tears. It's the most powerful place I've ever visited.
Israel is on my to visit countries list.
I can't even imagine the emotional reaction to the museum.
