What's on your Saturday Menu?
Good morning! There's no sleeping in in my house. Between the snores from my husband and the dog deciding he's been alone long enough, I've been awake off and on since 4. But now I have coffee, am working in calcium chews (tried strawberry this time, Blech! I'll just stick with caramel until I die) and about to finish up my book. Waiting for it to warm up a bit and then we are riding our bikes into town for a very few needed things. It's a big day of biking/reading/biking/campfire. It's been very stressful at work and will be for the first few days of the coming week, so I'm practicing self care and rest this weekend.
QOTD: since I'm not a big winter holiday girl, I'm really focusing on our family Fourth of July camping trip. It's a ways out there, but I enjoy planning out family games and I need to up my S'mores game again. And who doesn't need good thoughts of family together in the sunshine after 2020?
Menu
B. I'm eating the other half of my pork chop I whipped together last night. Damn it was good
L: hopefully in town and thinking gyros meat sounds good
D: sea bass with bacon wrapped asparagus spears in a lemon butter sauce. It's a "tray" dinner, so I feel like I'm on the Great British Baking show. Lol.
Peace Everyone!

Mornin' All!
It's been snowing here since yesterday afternoon. I don't know how much we have since I am NOT going out! I'm so glad my gym has so many classes on Zoom now because there's no way I would have gone there today - but as it is (with online classes), I was able to "go" to my Zumba class this morning! I was surprised the instructor was doing it from the gym and not from his apartment, though. Maybe he lives close enough to walk there. Or he's brave. Or whatever.
No solid plans for today, but I'll probably try to finish up watching the lectures for my 20th century Middle East history class and do some reading.
accountability was good yesterday, but I was kind of mad at myself for having yogurt and a pear last night. I know that sounds ridiculous, but I was under 1500 calories after I finished dinner, which is fabulous for me (my maintenance range is 1500-1700). But around 9:00 or so I was thinking I could eat more because I could "afford" it, so I had the yogurt and the pear, even though I was NOT hungry. It was fine - I still ended up within range, but why on earth did I do that when I wasn't hungry? Grrrrrr. I'm going to try not to do that again...
QOTD: nothing really pops into mind since I've tried not to plan too much in advance with this pandemic going on, although I agree with Melody that I'll be so happy when the Orange One leaves the White House for the last time on January 20!
TSS: 5y6m
B: Greek yogurt, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: pumpkin yogurt topped with 1/4 C high fiber cereal, pear or apple
AS: hmmm....for some reason I have that pumpkin yogurt listed as my AS as well (in my tracker) - but I obviously won't have it twice. Maybe a L&F with raspberries and a light English muffin with cream cheese. Or half a protein pumpkin muffin.
D: turkey slices and 1/4 C sweet potato casserole
ex: 1 hour of Zumba (done!!)
have a great Saturday, all!

Morning! (Almost afternoon)
I am struggling hard today! I was called into work to do a case just before midnight, and got home shortly after 2. I slept until 10, but man am I freaking tired. I know I have to eat something - but food is the furthest thing on my mind.
QOTD: looking forward to the winter Festival of Lights next weekend! I've posted about it recently, but it's an event in Niagara Falls with over 3 million Christmas Lights. Im hopeful it will help put me in the Christmas spirit this year. In addition to being on call over Christmas (I got the short stick this year).. my bestie and I decided it was best she didn't come down for New Years.. so I'm pretty bummed out. My family doesn't live close by.. so it'll be a quiet year with just the bf me and the pup.
