G'morning all!
Coming to you with a hearing aid! LOL! It reminds me of when I finally got contact lenses. I stepped out and squealed because I could see leaves on the trees, while before I was just seeing a blob of green. With the hearing aid I hear a lot of background noise, maybe too much noise. I had never heard my stove's timer, so that was new. They let me try the one behind the ear for a week. I asked her for the price and she said $7,000!!!! I just about fell out of my chair. Of course they are letting me test drive the Porsche while my insurance pays for a Toyota. There is an option that I think might be right for me because it's like a contact lense, you go in every 3-4 months and the tech puts it in your inner ear. I'll see how this one goes this week. Major draw back with this one is moisture is not good for it. So when I run I need to take it out, which is fine, but still an inconvenience. I also didn't like the messing around with mask and sunglasses. Too many things going behind the ear. The lense one you can exercise with it, and take a shower but you can't submerge your head in the water. I have no plans of going swimming till next summer. Sorry, more info than you needed or wanted about hearing aids.
QOTD: hmmm! Not trusting the self driving cars. It's actually dangerous because the AI in the car is programmed to protect YOU! So if there is a kid running across the street the self driving car would not hit the brakes if it would give you a whipla****'s very complicated and a lot of AI ethic scientists are grappling with it. I guess if I have to choose I'll choose the flying car.
My meals yesterday:
- B: Protein coffee
- L: tuna + hb eggs
- S: TJ chocolate peppermint cookie (can't resist)

So we've been having huge waves, you can hear them all day and night crashing on the beach. Lo and behold look what the waves brought to the beach? It can't be from the Titanic, can it? LOL
Happy Fri-yay!

Interesting on the hearing aid! I will probably need them eventually too as my mother and grandmother did and I can tell that my hearing is dulling somewhat.

Been Hearing a lot on the news about Mavericks Beach. Does your husband surf waves that big? I see them on TV and I am mesmerized.
I hear you on putting stuff behind your ear. At work I have on Glasses head set and mask. I guess having big ears is not a bad thing in the land of Covid-19.

My mentor has hearing aids and they have a bluetooth locator in them, so if they fall out, she can retrace her steps and find them. She said that because of masks that loop behind the ear, she has lost them a lot, but has been able to find them every time!
The piano looks like intentional art, I love it!
Good Morning JB and Menuers,
Well it is Friday so I guess that is cool. The state of Pennsylvania has implemented new restrictions that are absolutely Stupid. No indoor dining, No gym, no entertainment related businesses, No sports or extra curricular activities for schools. This starts tonight at Midnight. But you can go to church and college and professional sports are ok. Please someone tell me the logic here. Completely dumbfounded by our governor. If your going to close it down close down the whole thing not just the areas that need to be open to survive. It is the people that are not following the CDC guidelines going out in public when you know you are positive these people are the ones causing the spread. Kick that soapbox out. I can go on and on.
I am scaling back big time on the Christmas baking. CDC is saying offering Christmas baked goods is a No NO!! I don't want to break any rules.

Such adorable babies and big brother. Of course you had to see them! Congratulations on three years! I am glad your WLS was ultimately sorted out.
Oh and as someone who did get Covid, I definitely believe that most of the existing restrictions with masks, hand-washing and distancing were sufficient. We went out to eat and shop for months and didn't catch it. When we went somewhere where people weren't wearing masks and/or were too close together we backed out and said no thanks. When we did get it, it was in a non-mask, extended exposure, small space situation from DD.
