What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
Mornin' All!
I need to finish up some stuff for one of my organizations this morning, and my film discussion group meets via Zoom at 12:30. Not much else going on. It's supposed to be cold, so I'll be stuck in the house today - I should probably use the time to get caught up on the lectures for one of my classes, and do some reading for the classes before I have to take these books back to the library. Not sure what's up for the weekend - probably not much!
QOTD: I guess the flying cars. I'm a little hesitant about self-driving cars - plus I like driving as long as it's not for long distances (three hours is about my limit). So flying cars would be good so I wouldn't have to make God awful long drives again (I used to really like these when I was in my 20s - but now - no thanks...)
TSS: 5y6m
B: plain Greek yogurt with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake or Fit Frappe
L: pumpkin yogurt with 1/4 C high fiber cereal - maybe half an apple or a pear, too
AS: L&F yogurt with raspberries, light English muffin with cream cheese
D: turkey slices with either a small sweet potato or 1/4 C sweet potato casserole
Facebook reminded me this morning that it's been exactly four years to the day since I hit a normal BMI (154 for me). I posted these pictures with great fanfare. I eventually lost another 15 lbs but then gradually gained it back during year 3 (as unfortunately, many of us do...). But I'm still consistently in the 155-160 range (it's all hands on deck when I hit 160 - my "oh crap" level, as NYMom calls it), so I guess that's pretty good given I'm five years out. I only run 1-6 lbs (depending on the day) more than I did this day four years ago, even though there are days I feel really fat...
You looked fantastic then and still do now! But isn't it strange how much our perception of "normal" for us changes over the years? Normal for me used to always be dieting/gaining and NEVER maintaining. And the extra four pounds I have right now makes me feel very fat!

Not to get all mathematical on you, but you've made it through year 3 and are starting on year 4.

Morning everyone! I have a few breaks between meetings today and nothing after 1pm....might log off a bit early given the number of 6 am starts and 5:30 pm finishes I've had this week (and will have next week). There is a new episode of the Mandalorian to watch.
It's cold and snowy here which does make it easier to stay home, and whip up some nice Italian Beef in the crockpot tomorrow. I need to do some housekeeping, get my new desktop set up and then I have a couple of scheduled calls with friends/family on Sat and Sunday, and my TRX class Sunday morning.
QOTD - I like to drive so I'll go with the flying cars...but would really pick a transporter and then have the cars for just fun travel.
I"m trying to be consistent with exercise breaks on Monday and Friday so today will just be whatever work I do around the house.
Menu
