So I sit here, with bloody, oozing, crusted thumbs, pecking away at the keyboard using one finger from each hand. However mine is due to hand washing and sanitizing. Skin cracked and burning no matter how much lotion I use.

When I use the industrial isopropyl alcohol or the commercial sanitizing gels - I get the same issue. I use a 70% alcohol, that is made from 200 proof ethanol and distilled water. Somehow this doesn't cause so much damage to may hands. But since i cook and play with a cat (not at the same time), I have small cuts, and cat scratches that take longtime to heal. I started using good quality hand lotion / cream and cotton gloves overnight. Makes a huge difference. White cotton gloves are available on Amazon.

I have a cream called Crack Cream. It works pretty well, but my hands have never been as dry as this year. My Apple watch counts down for 20 seconds when I wash my hands. So that is making them even drier than usual because I am washing more often and longer. I also notice how quickly the hand soap empties.

Good morning and happy Friday!

QOTD - Oh jeesh. I am the technology person in my household/family (I literally need the "No, I won't fix your computer" coffee cup) but...I just wouldn't be excited for either. I drive a standard vehicle because I am way too much of a control freak and don't see the technology getting there in my lifetime. I prefer to have AI perfected for surgery or even, lets use it as a way to get clean water to remote areas. Save the flying cars for the Jetsons! LOL

Breakfast - fasting, so hot black coffee and water. I have an allergy headache for 3 days now. UGH.

Lunch - soyrizo, potato, tofu scramble, vegan cheese on toast with avocado butter

Snack - fruit smoothie

Snack - apple with peanut butter

Dinner - no clue, I have nothing planned

I hope you all have a great day, and a nice weekend!

Christina

Let it begin with me.

Good morning! Today is day 2 of 4 without my work team mate. Here is what I learned yesterday. I have GOT to get that guy some more help. His projects are complex, in depth and frustrating. I've got to get him someone to take over the minutiae of his day. Add that to the top of my 2021 to do list. We have a girl returning from maternity leave and I think she's about to see a transition in her responsibilities. Walking in another's shoes can be a real wake up call.

When I got back to the campsite, the grandgirls were there for a bike ride. That was great. We previously had their bikes outfitted with fun lights for a campground parade over the summer, so we lit the bikes up and they rode in the dark for a good hour. I got to catch up with my daughter and we made s'mores cones around the fire pit. Excellent way to spend the evening.

This weekend we have nothing but bike rides planned. I hope to read and do some crocheting as well.

Pics for the day for me are us celebrating with Margaritas for our 40th anniversary, and the sunset at the campsite on Tuesday.

QOTD: self driving for sure. For years, being in the car has been the only time I am alone for long stretches. I would use that time everyday to read great books.

Menu:

B: chicken breast and 1/4 c cottage cheese

L: left over Huli Huli chicken and cauliflower "fried" rice

D: pork chop, asparagus, 1-2 oz backed potato with pat of butter. Glass of wine

Peace Everyone!
