OMG don't get me going on Bernie bros. My brother was like that in 2016. I told him straight up he was an idiot with that line of thinking. Of course come to find out he didn't vote and rarely votes. Ha...he did vote for Biden this time as he hates trump and how he treats women...which was funny because I think Hilary was treated badly mainly for being a strong woman.

I'll shut up now.

Good morning! Brrrrr, cold here again this morning. Hopefully this Santa Ana is moving out. It is so dry. I think my skin is turning into cracklin's! It's a nice day to be at work. Handing out bonuses today. It's the best day of the year here and I enjoy that I get to be the one spreading the joy. My boss is so generous with us. I'm very lucky. Still at the campgrounds, and it's just too dark when I get home to be out walking or riding, so I was a slug again yesterday. Probably will be today, too.

QOTD: Absolutely. I have a handful of friends I see a couple times a year, or once every 5-10 years, and it's like we were never apart.

Menu:

B: one slice bacon, one deli turkey slice and one provolone slice as a roll up

L: 3 oz ground beef, 1 oz english cheddar with caramelized onions, 1/2 chicharones

D: beef and broccoli take out

Peace Everyone!

Happy hump day everyone! Hope your week is going well.

busy day here and then I'm going to my sisters this evening to sit outside on her cold patio to catch up a bit. It's scheduled to be one of our last nice days for awhile so want to sneak a visit in. I can't go until after my call with our Asia team at 5 though. Time zones are fun.

qotd - interesting question. One of my friend said on Facebook yesterday that she feels like it's a vicious circle - she doesn't talk to people and then feels like she has to apologize and explain why and that's too much work so she doesn't talk to people. I'm so not on that bandwagon - It doesn't matter how long it's been, I just dive back into the conversation. Some of my best friends have been friends since 6th grade - we might only talk voice to voice once or twice a year but it's like we've never stopped.

i don't have a plan for today, eek! I am thinking some TjS lemon ricotta on GF toast for breakfast, plus light and fit greek for sure. Outside of that we will see!

have a great day

Good Morning JB and Menuers,

Wow I love that Meme. However mine is my DH saying those things not my Sloth. LOL He always tells me oh you can take a day off from running. And I have had Mac and cheese on the brain since Kelly said she put ketchup on it. I am trying to avoid it at all cost but I think I am going to put Cheesy grits on the Christmas dinner side dish list just to get some of that creamy gooey goodness. I usually do not have a cheat day per se. I usually just fall to the mighty snack monster in the evening when watching TV, however Christmas might be a cheat day for me. We will have beef wellington so right there is a nice carb overload so I may just run with it. Within reason.

The boss and I had a casual conversation by the coffee pot this morning so maybe his anger has passed. I will still lay low and just be happy it has all blown over. I think his anger was miss directed to me. I think the contractor dropped the ball and he was pissed about that so the fact I was the one who needed the wall, and I was being a brat had a lot to do with his anger toward me. Staying calm and moving on.

QOTD: Yes, I have many friends and family that have impacted my life that I am not close to because of time. However when I do my Christmas cards it is a nice way to be remind me everyone who means something to me that I just do not get around to catching up with every year.

Accountability: I thought I nailed it but the scale said other wise. I did eat some salty soup so that may have been the culprit.

TSS: 2 years 11 Months and 28 day 132.4 (Lowest 129.4)

Good morning! First of all, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for the warm welcome back yesterday. I forgot how wonderful and supportive this group is. You all are really special. :)

Secondly, I stepped on the scale this morning. It was not pretty but it did give a wake up call I definitely needed.

QOTD: I have quite a bit of friends like that. I seem to have 1-2 random friends from each specific time in my life (high school, college, grad school, jobs) that stick like glue. We go months or years without talking but when we do its like no time has passed. I am so very thankful for these low-maintenance relationships.

TSS: 6 years 5 months

B: 2 espressos with Premier Protein shake

L: Salami and cheese

S: Quest Hero Bar

D: Unknown

E: I really need to get my bike trainer going

I'm putting in a grocery order today so hopefully my menu gets better soon.

Good morning! Happy Wednesday!

QOTD - Interesting question. I have a few friends in my life, that yes, we can go very long periods of time without talking, and then we pick up where we are, and it's like no time has passed at all. We have been through births, deaths, marriages, divorces...and we know life happens and ultimately, we are there to talk when we need to. In the past couple of years though, I have made a few friendships with women that I really needed my entire life. Strong women. Women that have my back, that are educated, that are wise, that have knowledge that want me to succeed, and vice versa. We sit, we talk, we laugh, we cry. We share. We build each other up. These are the women that I wish I had in my teens/twenties to go through life. I'm glad I have found them now.

Breakfast - fasting so hot black coffee, water

Lunch - Thinking I may have a half sandwich with vegan mayo, tofurkey ham, chao tomato cayenne cheese (its spicy!), lettuce, tomato, and some *****in' sauce. Maybe some chips on side

Snack - Apple slices with peanut butter, pepitas with dried fruit

Snack - fruit smoothie - almond milk, frozen berries, kale, turmeric, vegan protein powder, hemp seed hearts, chia seeds

Dinner - Gardein Chikn Sandwich with vegan mayo/franks red hot sauce, side salad

I hope you all have a good day, be safe and be well. I don't know about you guys, but we are starting to see some very high numbers here. We just got told yesterday we are on work from home for the next 30 days at least.

Christina

When you find those kind of friends you hang on tight to them and you consider yourself lucky to have found them, no matter when you found them. Because they can enrich your life in ways you never thought possible.

Morning! Not feeling very motivated to adult today. I'll attend my meetings but might not accomplish a ton other than that. My pain is a lot better today for the first day, so that's good! I mentor a small group of people in my department and one of them said yesterday she had RNY 4 weeks ago. It's always nice to be able to be a reference for someone. Especially when they never knew you before your WLS and they had no idea.

QOTD: Yes, as an introvert I think I have more friends like that than not. My cousin is one perfect example. We go times where we talk daily and then times where we don't. She has lived in Hawaii and I'm now in NC while she's in NY. We always immediately have things to talk about when we come back together.

My Food:

  • Coffee w/ Cream x3
  • Turkey, Cucumber, Cheese, Olives, Dip
  • TBD, I think it's my younger daughter's day and I haven't heard what her option is.
