some of the restaurants around here have those, too, and I wonder how safe they are. It seems like the virus would just blow around in there...

In case anyone is wondering, I have been eating out a minimum of 2-3 times a week since mid-summer, essentially always outside. We have been shopping in food stores, with a mask on, distanced and I bagged my own food. We always wear masks when near strangers (except when eating though we are socially distanced). I caught Covid from my daughter whom I spent 6 days with in close quarters, a good 6-7 hours of which were in a car after she had symptoms (though we thought it was allergies). So being outside and distanced seemed to have worked (though maybe there were fewer Covid infected people for most of that time).

ALSO: the guy who picked DD up from the airport in Massachusetts didn't get it though they were in the car, without masks, both in the front seat for almost 90 minutes.

Praying for your recovery. My brother got it and thankfully, his symptoms were very mild, I pray there are no longer term effects. I hope your daughter feels better soon, as well!

I am pretty much done I think. I cleaned the house and felt fine today. And my sense of smell/taste is coming back (the only lingering symptoms).

I hate to tell you that often can take up to 14 days for the Covid to show in tests after exposure. People think 2-3 days or even a week should be enough to show if you contracted it or not.

Plus - there is always possibility of false negative in some people. I don't think the guy who picked your daughter is in a clear yet.

Good morning! I do love all the cheeses! Had a fabulous english cheddar melted on my burger patty last night. Yum!

I am officially Covid negative and back at my work desk. Thank you, Jesus. WFH is just not for me. Yesterday we got in 11 miles on the bikes and a two mile walk with the dogs. I was hungry all day, and actually ate 5 different times. Very, very unusual for me. So grateful that I had lots of good options to choose from. I managed to stay right at 1000 calories, which is still high range for me, but they were good protein dense calories, and clearly my body needed them. I am not much into intuitive eating, but I am trying to listen to my body and give it what it needs. Thank goodness it hasn't needed a Milky Way bar yet!

QOTD: My Mom always called me a "bull in a china shop". I'm ram-mey. Banging into things and dropping them or spilling them.

Menu:

B: chicken breast and 1/4 C cottage cheese

L: left over refried beans and enchilada fillings

D: huli-huli chicken, cauliflower "fried" rice

S: as needed. My desk drawer has beef jerkey, cheddar whisps, chrispbread.

Peace Everyone!

Just wanted to mention that I miss cheese. If I could marry a food it'd be cheese.

You can't have cheese any more?

No dairy or gluten for me. I think I've always had an issue with dairy looking back.

Hey Melody, have you tried using Chao vegan cheese? I swear the sliced stuff, it's SO good! It gives just enough of that melty stretch that it may help with the cravings. I definitely feel you on missing cheese, but for me I have been able to find some really good substitutes! Also, I have found this new dip (sauce??) called "*****in' sauce" and I put it on everything. Crackers, veggies, sandwich spread, omg its so good!

And as a benefit of no longer eating dairy, it's really helped with my inflammation in my joints. I miss cheese some days, especially stinky blue cheese, etc. but there's lots of benefits that outweigh it.

Christina

Let it begin with me.
