I used to make that ALL THE TIME when I was in my 20s! I didn't know how to cook - but I knew how to make that, at least! I loved it..

G'morning all!

Oyoy JB, RH is the worst. The shakes and the sweating is just horrible. Take care of yourself and congrats to Grim for the house being sold above asking price. Also, I know I've said this before but your meme is on spot every. single. day. They crack me up and I very much appreciate the good humor first thing in the morning.

QOTD: I'm with you about pancake. I eat only with butter, I don't like it drenched in syrup. But I'm not a big pancake eater. My comfort food is my mom's cauliflower soufflé, that I can't replicate no matter how many times I try. The food I eat that actually grosses DD is my usual tuna + hb eggs. I buy those tuna pouches that already come with some sort of hot sauce, and add a couple of hb eggs. DD says it looks like I'm eating cat food.

My meals yesterday:

  • B: protein coffee
  • L: TJ chicken fajitas
  • S: fage yogurt + sf syrup
  • D: Turkey meatballs + hb egg
  • E:30 minutes cardio + 50 minutes strength training

Happy Thursday!

I did not eat pancakes for many years because I did not like the maple syrup. We always had real maple syrup from a farm, not the flavored stuff from the store. It was much too strong tasting to me. When I would order pancakes in a restaurant, I would have to sometimes argue with the waitress to get more than one pat of butter. Watching other people smother theirs in syrup is a turnoff to me.

Good morning and happy thursday. So glad the weekend is in sight. Still no news on my car. I wish they'd decide so so can move on. Either anticipate my baby's return, or kick her to the curb and go look for my next relationship Our mayor caused an uproar when he issued a new "safer at home" order that was really poorly worded. It seemed like if you got caught outside the house, even going for a walk, you could be cited for a misdemeanor. They clarified last night, but it still placed more restrictions on us. I can still parking lot spin, but technically she can only operate at 50% of her outdoor capacity (which would be 10 bikes, max) and you have to wear a mask during exercise. I have no idea if she's going to comply and I don't want to broach the subject because it devolves into a political rant. I happen to approve of our mayor. I think he has a monumental task trying to balance the 17th largest economy in the WORLD with the safety of his citizens. Not the easiest job in the world. I get that she's coming from the point of view as a business owner, but I think if people would just comply, we'd be better off. Los Angeles currently has fewer than 80 ICU beds available in the whole county and that number scares me.

QOTD: Chopped liver. I love chopped liver and always bring some home when I shop at out favorite jewish deli

My Plan:

B: fairlife latte

L: leftover steak

D: I'm making chili. It's higher in carbs than I'd like but I make it with a lot of ground turkey so it's pretty high in protein

S: Likely an apple and peanut butter or a light and fit with protein granola before spin

E: Parking Lot spin if she's still up and running.

The owner of my pilates studio did my glass on Tuesday and she was apologizing about the masks and the extra safety precautions and I told her that I would do whatever was requested, as long as we can keep coming. At this point, I don't care if I have to wear 2 masks and 2 sets of gloves and bleach the reformer after, I'll do it.

HI everyone - late post for me, it's been a busy work morning. I did get in a rowing session on a (virtual) lake in Portugal so that was cool (the rowing instructors where go pros on their heads so when you're doing the work, the scenery is always changing).

QOTD - I hate mayo so people think it's strange that I eat "dry" sandwiches; I also usually eat my salad with no dressing.

menu today has been

coffee + half and half X 3

2 oz traderjoes cheese with cloves and cumin (Sheila, this was delicious, highly recommend. The cumin gives it slight taste of smoke and the cloves are very warming).

Barebell bar

I'll have a light and fit greek before I go to pilates this afternoon, and 3 oz ever roast deli chicken when I get back.

Have a fantastic almost Friday everyone

I HATE Mayo! I also rarely eat salad dressing on salad. If I want it I use salsa or something like that.

That face is SO my drunk face lol ! GOSH I was a MESS !!!

Midnite snack- FF cottage cheese , 1 1/2 slices rosemary parmesan toast dry , one slice WW toast w apricot sugar free jam and decaf tea w skim milk

popcorn, kettle cooked air popped about 2 cups

B- egg white n fat free cheese, butter buds and FF 1/2 &1/2 scramble , pumpkin muffins made w kodiak flour and Truvia brown sugar/ Butter buds streusel

L- was going to make beef /pork stroganoff but ran out of time ... let em eat leftovers lol :) ( or something they purchased at Costco)

I'm giving Dad his head cuz he keeps implying that he can buy ready-made meals at Costco that rival my very healthy very carefully made ones GRRR

Hopefully he'll realize his folly - if not , well more time for me !

S - ice milk bars 4 sure maybe leftover piece of homemade low sugar low fat berry pie , banana cream pie SF FF

D- Will definitely include a salad and fat free dressing.

Exercise - Beach walk 4 sure . Theres a candle lighting Hannukah celebration on the beach here on the Island I might attend too.

I like to TRY a lot of strange foods - what I don't enjoy is anything that tastes remotely fishy . Which means I have to be VERY careful with Vietnamese, Malaysian and Filipino recipes , not to mention, of course JAPANESE cooking ( or not cooking ... raw sushi ) . African food involving grubs or ants and Chinese Chicken Feet recipes are also off the menu as are EELS ...

I CANNOT or WILL NOT eat butter, lard, shortening, fried food beyond a single bite or even ( usually ) full-fat cheese because of its outrageous fat content .

I share this trait with my Mother so there's undoubtedly a genetic component as well as a strong lifelong matter of preference.

But I enjoy tasting full-fat catered and restaurant food and full fat buffets when I'm out and about ... but eat fat free or very low fat at home so I can freely do so without worrying about wearing the evidence .
