What's on your Thursday Menu?

I dread the Monday after payday when I get a bunch of people wondering what's up with their pay...
LOL. As long as you didn't put it on pasta you don't hear anything from me!

Absolutely NOT! I still shudder when I remember the first time DD asked for Mac & cheese at a restaurant. I thought I had raised her better than that. But I gave up and let her have it. For years I refused to have Mac & cheese at home. It's a totally American invention. Of course it backfired and both my kids LOVE Mac and cheese. DD told me the first year in college she spent most of her money on boxed Mac & cheese.

mornin' All!
well the inducer on our furnace is starting to go (we had the furnace repair person out here yesterday because the thing has been making this odd humming/whirring noise for about 30-60 seconds before the heat kicks on). It'd be around $400 to replace it, but given it's a 15-year-old furnace, we decided to put up with the noise until the thing dies. He said it could die in a month, or it could make it through the winter season (or potentially even longer). I guess we'll put up with the noise awhile longer. If it was eight years old, we'd have them replace the part - but it seems kind of a waste of money to invest that much in a furnace that's near the end of its life. We just replaced the A/C this past summer - so hopefully the furnace will hold on a bit longer..
I have to host a Zoom lecture today at 10:00 (running the software) - luckily someone else is moderating today. That's about it other than my two classes and going to the UPS place to get a package sent off to my second cousin in DC. And I need to get some exercise, too..
accountability was OK yesterday until last night, when I had the last piece of pumpkin pie with whipped cream on it. My weight is up another 1/2 lb this morning (that makes 3.5 lbs in the last four days), but I attribute most of that to the damn ham I keep mentioning. I went to Aldi's yesterday to see if some other kind of meat jumped out at me (and DH can continue eating the ham), but no. Maybe I'll just cut off about 1 oz of it and put it on a salad - instead of eating 3 oz of it on a plate. Or just eat something else. I love the ham, but it makes me retain water like crazy (and this estrogen I'll be on for another couple of weeks isn't helping with that...). Otherwise, accountability hasn't been bad this week. At least I've stayed within my calorie range most days (albeit at the higher end of it...)
QOTD: I can't really think of anything gross or weird that I like - although going along with the pancake theme, I don't like maple syrup on my pancakes. Too cloying. I avoided pancakes for years and years because of that (and related items such as waffles and French toast) - but I do eat (protein) pancakes now topped with plain Greek yogurt and various homemade compotes (fruit cooked down with fake sugar or SF Torani syrups). Although I guess that's not necessarily weird - just different.
TSS: 5y6m today! (too bad I had to record that unnaturally high weight on my Excel spreadsheet this morning! I update it once a month on my surgery day)
B: coconut Greek yogurt with 1/2 diced mango, coffee with half & half
MS: pumpkin Fit Frappe
L: either protein pumpkin pancakes with 1/2 C plain Greek yogurt and 1/2 cup cranberry compote - or cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with 1/2 C cranberry compote
AS: L&F with raspberry - and maybe a light English muffin with pumpkin cream cheese
D: maybe a salad with that damn ham and light dressing. Or maybe some microwavable dinner - I have a few of those in the freezer....
have a great day, everyone!
Hi there from Covid-ville! I am wearing my scarlet C19 but no one can see because I have to stay in. Seriously I feel pretty good this morning. Last night I had a fair amount of head congestion and some body aches, but my congestion is way less this morning and I don't seem to have body aches. No fever, no cough, so sore throat, no chest congestion. Really if I didn't know better I would swear that I had a head cold.
The plan today is to start binge watching some good shows. At minimum we are quarantined until next Wednesday (assuming no worsening of symptoms or fever).
Accountability stunk yesterday after finding out we were positive but I really wasn't super hungry so the damage was limited.
QOTD: I used to like liverwurst which everyone thought was gross but haven't had it in years. I also like pickled onions especially on a dinner roll. And many people think my scrambled eggs with melted cottage cheese in the morning is strange.
TSS: 4 years, 8 months
B: Coffee!!! Eggs and cottage cheese
L: tuna salad and cottage cheese
D: IP Italian chicken and peppers over zoodles (we are alternating this with IP pot roast I made last night after our grocery delivery. I am trying to avoid having to cook for a few days).
S: strawberry/blueberry cheesecake yogurt pie

Liz,
I am sorry to hear that you are covid positive. My family in Minnesota had it and my SIL said that the fatigue was the worst part.
