What's on your Wednesday Menu?
I tried to get a group of people to do a cross country ski event once. The place had a big log cabin and cross country ski instructors. I could not get enough people interested to put it together. I wish I would have tried harder or asked different people.

Oh I would have caved for those chocolate peppermint goodies in a heartbeat!
Ski lessons traumatized me too, but for me it was the ski lift. I was so so so so so scared of that thing... there has got to be a safer way to transport people up the mountain by now!

My Dad decided to get tested for Covid this morning too. If he tests positive Mom is coming here with me and I'll take care of him in their apartment properly wrapped up ... OY !
I hope he's just being paranoid ... but I've had a low grade headache myself for a few days.
Got another " final " extension for the paperwork on my project ... its just a few weeks and I'm no closer to having an office. Just cleaning the place for Mom in the AM pretty much exhausted me.
B- wanted homemade cinnamon streusel cake ... ate Pepperidge Farm cookies instead .. a good lesson on not binging fattening items into the house. FF Chai tea, SF
S - ice milk bar
L- saag paneer w fresh spinach, homemade everything flatbread
S - Baked apples w cinnamon
D- TBD - maybe leftover egg casserole from yesterday if Dad's alright
Gotta get this house together ! On a positive note - solving algae problem ( perhaps) with UV filtering pond pump... Had those here all along ...
I love fireplaces and the excuse in winter not to go out lol !
And Long Island is REALLY pretty in the snow.
Digging out isn't fun but it is good exercise and if you complain long enuf a friend will plow you out on the way to plowing for the city ...
I LOVE to ski and cross country ski ( REALLY fun to ski in Central Park and down Fifth Avenue after a big snowfall in Manhattan - its a tradition ) and of course ice skate ...
Happy Wednesday everyone. I'm so over work from home, I can't even tell you. Although I've made friends with the squirrel who runs along the wall that's right outside my kitchen. I see him all day since that's the window I face when I work. They think they may have to total my car, so I'm currently investigating compact SUVs if anyone has one and has strong feelings about what they drive, please share. I should find out by the end of the week whether I get my car back or if I'm going to car shop during a pandemic. Also, I think I broke my toe in the accident. It's been hurting since friday and it's now a lovely shade of reddish purple. I wonder how much my insurance will pay me for a broken big toe?
QOTD: Living in a suburb of Los Angeles, I really don't get a winter. Given that so many of you live in areas with a real winter, I feel bad responding. I LOVE winter, because to me it means cold air, warm sun, cozy sweaters and boots. I love the smell of winter.
My Plan:
B: Fairlife latte (I had to be out early to take my car to the body shop and go rent something to drive)
L: 1/2 a jersey mike's turkey sub on 1/2 of the wheat bread. I use the bread as a mode of delivery
D: Steak and broccoli
E: None (see broken toe above)

My last 3 cars have been Kias and I really love them! My current one is a Hybrid Niro SUV which I love, but I think they are just making that model in electric now. I also loved my bright red Kia Sportage SUV. It was so sporty & cute and if they sold it in a hybrid I would have bought it again in a second.
Hope your toe feels better!

I have the Mazda CX-5, small suv and I love it. Fun to drive, good value and ive has it almost 9 years with no issues. Highly recommend giving it a test drive. They have one size smaller now the cx-3.
