What's on your Wednesday Menu?
I did not pour a big glass of wine or break into a bag of Doritos after the news yesterday. I'm am proud of that, at least. This is a huge win for you. I don't know how you did it. I am so sorry you lost someone that meant so much to you and had such a big impact on your life. I hope you find solace in knowing him and the impact he made during his short time on this earth. God bless you my friend.

Very sorry for your loss, Lisa. Sending lots of hugs your way
Good morning,
QOTD - I'm not a winter person (I live in South Texas for a reason). I enjoy the cooler weather, but...I don't do well with BONE chilling cold. I enjoy the holiday seasons, reasons for making savory stews/soups, baking, etc. but the cold doesn't do my bones well.
Breakfast - fasting, so hot black coffee and water
Lunch - I have a dr appointment, so I'm thinking I will pick up a veggie sandwich while out.
Snack - apple and peanut butter, pepitas and dried fruit
Snack - 1/2 everything bagel, hummus, and some tofurkey ham slices (they are addicting)
dinner - No clue, haven't planned.
I hope you all have a great day!
Christina

Morning all,
I hope that you are all safe and healthy.
I'm still really struggling health-wise and trying hard to learning and stay positive rather than curling up and a ball and feeling sorry for myself.
It appears that my last spinal procedure was not successful (same spot wasn't successful in February either). I still have moderate to severe pain that extends into my head. It's really hard to function with that much pain and not have anything that I can take to help.
As far as my gastroparesis, I'm getting in more fluids but even pureed food is still touch and go. It's really trial and error, just like after my RNY. I'm also having a home health nurse come in, as well as PT, but I'm still walking with a walker other than around the house if I'm feeling okay. Also no driving for a few more weeks.
The good/bad news is that my weight isn't still diving, but I lost more than 15# between 11/6 & 11/25 or so. I certainly wanted to lose some of my regain, but not like this! I know that as I get more active and can walk that I'll feel better. I really need to rebuild some of my muscle, though heavy lifting isn't in my future. Fingers crossed that by spring that I can safely go back to the pool and maybe do some water aerobics or even jus****er walking.
QOTD: before surgery, winter was my favorite season because it was when I wasn't sweating all the time. The first winter after surgery, I was frozen constantly. Now if I wear a hat and heavy socks, the rest isn't too bad...and I can't even blame it on menopause!! Last winter was the first year that we lived in a condo, so I didn't have to do alot of shoveling and this year with all-telework, no need to wrap up and go out every morning. I also really love Christmas and making lots of goodies to give away but with physical distancing and not feeling well, I'm not sure what I can do. I did find a connection to a women & children's homeless shelter in my area and I'm making some things to brighten their holiday.
My food plan for today: pureed turkey corn soup, salmon or chicken packet, LF plain yogurt w/ applesauce and I'm going to try to get down either a protein shake or an Unjury meal replacement. I also had a cup of unsweetened soy milk in my tea this morning. I'm also really working on getting in 80-100 oz of fluid.
Exercise: I plan to do my PT exercises twice today. Maybe some other chair exercises too since my legs get weak so quickly.
Wishing everyone a safe and warm day (Liz won't have any problems!!).
Janet
