What's on your Wednesday Menu?

Hi Everyone! Happy Hump Day :) It was weird to have Monday off, it seems unbelievable that its Wednesday already. Thanks for your well wishes. I feel back to myself for the most part. A touch queasy and a headache-y yesterday but nothing compared to how I felt Monday morning so I can?t complain!
I am super excited for this afternoon. Partlypollyanna alerted me to an amazing experience--The British Library is hosting a virtual conversation with Dolly Parton today. I got tickets and will be logging off work at 2:30 to listen to her. YAY! I?m so excited!
QOTD: What is your favorite thing about winter? I really dislike just about everything about winter so it's a stretch for me to find anything I like, but I do like when cities put up holiday lights on trees that make the streets sparkly at night. And I guess I like a light dusting of snow to make things pretty and white...sometimes!
Despite feeling a little off, I followed my menu to a T yesterday as I tried to eat down the fridge from the extra groceries that were delivered by accident. My cat took one for the team, and helped me eat down the chicken, haha. I must admit that I haven't exercised in a few days and I am not planning to today, either. I just don't have the mojo for actual motion, yet.

Good Morning!
So so glad you're feeling better!! Really hope you enjoy your event with Dolly today!!
I hate being cold (which seems to be my norm post op) but I do love winter. I also love the sparkly Christmas lights this time of year. One of my favourites is that Niagara Falls (Canada side) has a winter Festival of Lights, where the light up the entire park area with different light displays.. they bring me so much joy! I also love snowshoeing, cross country skiing and skating..

Niagara is one of my favorite road trips. It is so awesome when it is frozen over. I been there so many times I have frequent fly miles on the maid of the mist. Anytime I cross the Peace Bridge I make us stop just to ride it. I love it there and the Peameal Bacon. LOL

The lights sound lovely--I have only been to the Falls in the summer... I can't understand people who love winter sports! The idea of being simultaneously cold and sweaty makes me want to crawl in bed with a hot cup of coffee and never come out!

You learn to love them.. I grew up in Northern Ontario where we had snow from October to April.. so just comes with the territory!

I am in Boston--we are almost the exact same latitude as Toronto, so I am no stranger to snow. I've just always been a summer baby!
Except that when you do something you love, or just like, you are not cold. It's "fresh".
BTW: due to mu hormonal issues, pituitary poor function, I like when is cooler because i have days or hours that I don't sweat all the time. When other people are freezing, putting on the extra jacket at work or at home, (poor Keith), i finally can stop sweating. I am miserable in summer.
Yesterday morning I was taking a shower and I felt very comfortable. Almost cool. I checked the thermostat upstairs (where i have my bathroom) and it was showing 65F. Poor Keith. His work from home office is the small room above garage. I adjusted the temp to 70 for him. He is so used being cold, than 71 felt too hot for him.

Good morning all! Hard to believe that just last week this was the last day of work before a long holiday weekend. I'd sure take another one of those right about how.
Accountability was pretty good yesterday. It was another day where I wasn't overly hungry or craving things which helped. Was also down a couple more ounces this morning so I'm slowly but surely getting there. Maybe by Christmas I'll have these few extra pounds of regain gone!
QOTD: I love just about everything about winter. I love the cold....well what we down south here call cold....not what you guys further north are used to! I'd never survive that! Haha. I love enjoying a hot cup of coffee when it's cold outside. I also absolutely love everything about Christmas which happens to fall during the winter. To me it doesn't feel like Christmas unless it's cold outside. I love the snow too! We don't get it down here too often, but when we do it's always lots of fun and so pretty!
