What's on your Monday Menu?
Good morning! Thanksgiving week. Unbelievable. I was just saying to my teammate, wonder if it will be dead because no one wants to work, or slamming because everyone wants their project finished before the holidays. The last few years, it's been slammin'. This evening, I want to start getting organized to pack, as I realized I need to do the majority of it tomorrow night. 2 arrive on Wednesday and I'll be making dinner for them and the local kids. 4 of the extended family is in my "bubble" as I work directly with them everyday, 2 of them are exercising caution before they arrive. It's just dinner for 8, but it's been over a year since my little family has been together. It's bittersweet for me. It heightens my awareness that one of the kids is forever gone, but is soothing to me to have the rest of us together in my house.
QOTD: I remain terrible at maintaining a schedule for exercise. It'**** and miss at best. 2021 goals...
Menu:
B: chicken breast bites and 1/4 C cottage cheese
L: left over deli turkey sandwich innards
D: huli huli chicken and cauliflower "fried" rice. (I've been loving going to a butcher shop on the weekend and getting cuts of meat I usually don't. Following that up with a trip to Trader Joe's to round out the menu. Huli Huli is a new find, sort of a teriyaki based Hawaiian boneless chicken)
Peace Everyone!

Ooh thanks for the tip on Huli Huli chicken. I had never heard of it. Yum!
Good Morning Julia and Menuers,
Congratulations on the weight loss Julia. You're doing great!! So proud of you. Hopefully this week will go fast. I may be joining you in that WFH situation soon. I guess someone called OCEA on my company and obviously that can never be a good thing. I have a feeling that they will be asking me to WFH starting tomorrow. I am not going to complain. I still have that lemon law case pending and my tires are not really the best but I refuse to buy new tires until I know the outcome of my case so WFH is not as bad as it sounded before. I will wait and see but if not I am definitely fine here at my desk. Plus, we have the best coffee here and it's free so there are perks to coming in the office as well.
I had a very low key weekend. The only thing I did was fill my car with gas, Shampoo and set my mom's hair. Did her laundry. Then cheated like hell on my diet. I literally do not remember to many moments my jaws weren't chewing something unless I was running or sleeping. I hope to get back to low weight by Thursday so I can enjoy Thanksgiving guilt free.
QOTD: As you all know I run about 3.5 miles every morning. Usually at 6:00am all bundled up with a headlamp on so people won't run me over. However, on the weekends I wait till daylight so I don't have to put on the lights and reflectors. If I WFH I will be able to sleep till 6:30 and run at 7 when it is daylight so there is a perk that would be nice.
Accountability: OK I grazed all weekend but my best meal I had was pizza. I don't really even like pizza but it was my first in about 3.5 years. They called it the Motor city pizza. It had all the toppings and cheese on the crust but only two little strips of sauce. I was so buttery and yummy.
TSS: 2 years 11 Months and 12 days 132.2 (Lowest 129.4)
CB: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Pumpkin Spice w/ Mira lax and Fiber
MS: Premier Cinnamon Roll Protein shake and berries
CB2: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Pumpkin spice

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and my blood work has been great. My B12 has been High so I cut my sublingual to every 3rd or 4th day. And I have now added 500mg of Magnesium
Exercise: 3 mile run (done)
Everybody have a Great weekend.
Brightest Blessings
Chrissy

I knew I wouldn't miss my commute, but I thought I wouldn't like the work from home life, otherwise. WRONG. I am really happy with my WFH life now and I can't imagine going back... I hope it goes well for you, too!

We must be on the same wavelength 'cuz I was going to post on the Main Board whether anyone has a good recipe for air fryer fries.
The real ones make me feel ill- last time I went to Arbys I tried a snack size ... felt pretty bad physically afterwards so not repeating that.
Having a REALLY hard time finding a space to park a motorcycle.
My condo won't tolerate one even as a visitor ( how can they say anything - but they fined me for having plants on my own balcony this year so apparently the HOA thinks they can get away with any unfair ruling ) .
I asked every real estate agency on the island and no go :( .
Very late last night some Rice Chex ( quite a bit ) jumped in my mouth
B- Yogurt with berries and cheerios , FF chai tea
L- homemade low-fat meatloaf , mashed potatoes ff , Hungarian cucumber salad
D- probably sushi since I have some left - a 1/2 California roll and veggie rolls
swam 45 minutes this morning with the 'rents , not so hard 'cuz I'm tired ( keep falling asleep in the recliner ) did maybe 5 1/2 to 4/5 laps of butterfly.
Need to start skating regularly again which means going to sleep early not an hour before dawn .
Thinking about driving to NY and putting that home on the market when noones looking. That would be starting NOW .
If I don't exercise first thing in the morning I don't exercise AT ALL unfortunately.
Lately I'm finding my body maintains itself well this ( comparatively light ) every other day swimming schedule.
I WILL happily hike or just walk and talk if I have a companion to do it with later in the day .
Mornin' All!
Just got done with my senior cardio/strength Zoom class. Obviously people have been telling her they want more intensity, because she really kicked our butts today! I was going to take a Zoom "strength fusion" class right afterward since my Mah Jongg game was cancelled, but there was no need - I was pretty wiped after that senior class!
I have to run a couple of errands today because it's supposed to snow tomorrow. Otherwise...?? I guess I'll try to do some reading for classes or do some work for my organizations
QOTD: the only exercise I do at the same time every day is 50 squats while I'm brushing my teeth in the morning. My electric toothbrush goes for two minutes, so timing usually works out (actually, I can do around 40 in two minutes - but then I keep going afterward until I hit 50...). During my night time brushing, I do a bunch of calf raises, then stand on one foot for 30 seconds, then the other foot for 30 seconds. Hey - at least I do it!
accountability has been OK the last few days, but my weight was way up again this morning. It's got to be the ham. I had some again last night for dinner, and more than I usually have since there wasn't much left and I "finished it off". I'm detecting a pattern here...(i.e., ham = water weight gain)
TSS: 5y5m
B: plain Greek yogurt with strawberry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: pumpkin Fit Frappe
L: piece of protein pumpkin/yogurt pie with 2 T Aldi's maple-flavored whipped cream
AS: probably the usual L&F yogurt with light English muffin and light cream cheese. Or maybe chocolate hummus on a graham cracker
D: 1/2 Beyond Burger on 1/2 slim bun with tomato slice and light Thousand Island dressing, small sweet potato with butter and fake brown sugar
have a great day, everyone!
I got takeout fries. They were absolutely awful by the time I got home. Just tasted like sticks of cold grease. I think you have to eat fries straight out of the fryer and piping hot.
If I really want fries, I take a turnip, peel it, cut it into strips like fries. Then I spray it with butter flavored Pam and roast for about 30 minutes. It tastes really good and very low calorie and low carb.
