Pandemic Nightmare

You have all heard about someone dreaming that they are naked in public. Last night I had a dream that I lost my mask and was out in public with my face uncovered. I kept asking people if they had an extra mask and was so embarrassed to be walking around with no mask.

I had a dream a few nights ago that I was in the office. Everything seemed normal until I remembered the pandemic. Then I panicked that I was going to catch it! So relieved when I woke up.

Yikes!

This has changed the very fabric of our life forever.

I think these types of dreams are the hallmark of something that is life changing. When I first had babies I had dreams I left them somewhere and didn't realize until I was far away. Post WLS I had dreams about eating foods I wouldn't dream of eating and then realizing I wasn't supposed to, too late. I have also had pandemic dreams where I'm stuck in crowds of people and we're all unmasked.

You are right Erin. Life has changed so much with this virus. I am so hopeful that the vaccines are going to be released and that this will all end.

I still smoke in some of my dreams - and I quit smoking 26 years ago!

What a world we are living in! I think it is funny that after the first few I was buying them as fashion accessories to complement my outfit.

I have a lot of different colors and patterns and make sure the mask goes will with the outfit I am wearing each day. Hoping by next summer we can go out without a mask.

Wow, you would put me to shame with your fashion sense. I have multiple masks and they are all different and once in a blue moon something ends up matching something I'm wearing! I'm a mess in that category! I like your thoughts that maybe by next summer we may be out of this mask phase, crossing all fingers on that one. It's getting harder all the time to not see our loved ones and give them the big ol' hugs we used to!
