Good morning all! Can't believe it's Monday again! Had a nice, but busy weekend. Got a lot done and actually started decorating for Christmas. I ordered 2 new Christmas trees....a smaller one that is supposed to arrive tomorrow and then a normal size one that is supposed to arrive next week. So I'm excited yet nervous. Nervous because I don't know how my cats are going to react. Well I know my older boy will be fine....he's more calm and lazy and I've never had issues with him before messaging with my trees. However, it's the *****y little kitten I'm worried about! No can just see her now climbing and swinging from the branches....probably chewing on it too. Sigh....something tells me I'm going to have to use the spray bottle a lot.
Accountability was overall better over the weekend, but still not where I want it to be. This week I'm sticking to my menu and will make much better choices! It did give me a little hope when I saw my doctor on Friday and she told me she didn't even recognize me when I walked by because I've lost so much weight and looked good. I was down 17 pounds since I saw her last in May. I told her I still haven't reached my goal yet and she said if it makes you feel any better you don't look like you even weigh as much as you do. I'm determined to get the rest of this weight off though!

17 pounds at this point is wonderful. But don't stop trying to lose more. Even though this is the stage where you look smaller than you are, your surgical weight loss window is dwindling now and the you probably have at most another six to eight months before the weight loss completely stops.
This is the best time to make a really huge effort to get to your goal and even lose another 10 or 20 pounds as a cushion for regain. At this point, I was convinced that I could never gain weight again. People were telling me that I looked too skinny and needed to gain back some weight. That is common during the first 30 months after surgery.
I will tell you that it almost never happens after year three. You have done fantastic with this surgery. It does get harder, but you have the opportunity to keep your new healthy weight for life. Take advantage of this honeymoon period while it lasts.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Nice job! That's 17 lbs in 5 months! Great work.

Good luck with the trees! My guys have been surprisingly chill about it but there are no ornaments up yet. TBD if they'll be able to resist the shiny things!
Great job continuing to lose through the lockdown. It's a huge accomplishment and you'll get the rest off!

Our Percy loves loves loves water! Nothing works on him. We just now have a tree up that he hasn't knocked over yet. Though we had to wire it to a stud in the wall...LOL. Just for insurance....
hope you have luck with your kitty!
way to go on the 17 pounds!

Oh I forgot the QOTD: yes, I like to sing aloud mostly when I'm in the car by myself or if I'm home alone. Sometimes I'll dance around if it's a really good song. My poor cats just stare at me like I'm crazy! Lol. They are so thankful when I finally finish as I do NOT have the best singing voice! Lol
