What's on your Tuesday Menu?
Vote everyone if you haven't already. It is so important!!!
JB, you looked super cute 12 years ago, but now you are HEALTHY and cute. I have heard some younger pre-op people say that they don't have any health problems due to obesity, but as most of us know it always catches up eventually when we get older (which is why I had WLS at 61).
We are supposed to have a beautiful sunny low-humidity day here in southwest Florida, so I think Mike and I are going to my favorite beach on Boca Grande.

My co-worker is in her early 40's and is scheduled for Surgery tomorrow! It took her a year to get approved. She struggled with the required weight loss during the holidays last year, then Covid did not help. I am so excited for her. She did not think she had obesity related issues but through the process of getting approved she has sleep apnea and her A1C came back at 6.5. Doctor did not give her Diabetes medicine saying her surgery will fix it but they will keep and eye on it. I am excited to watch her weight loss journey happen in from of my eyes.

Thanks! Yep, I am lucky that I hadn't developed the typical health problems yet, but being that heavy and sedentary--there was no way it wasn't going to have a serious effect on my heart, eventually. Not to mention what it was doing to my emotional health... I'll always be a fat girl inside, but I hope to keep it from showing back up on my outside :)

Where to you get hemp heart seeds? What do they taste like? In my head it is a cross between artichoke hearts and kale maybe?

good morning and happy Election day! We may not like the process anymore, but I think we can all feel a little grateful that the obnoxious commercials, texts and emails are going to drop off dramatically!
JB -- you look great! As a newbie, the fear of the future is real. Seeing your success, and the success of others in this group brings me faith in the process. I hope I look half as good in 12 years as you do today -- since I'm twice as old, that should level out into me looking fairly healthy and decent! LOL!

Menu:
B: emie pie egg salad
L: leftover shrimp relleno omelet, black beans
D: so the favorite pizza place was closed last night and my husband missed on his birthday pizza. I'll pick one up on the way home for him, and I'm going to scavenge through the fridge for dinner.
Sometime in the next 36 hours, I'm hoping to pop open this nice bottle of champagne I got and do a little celebratory dance.
Peace everyone!
