I did something like that once - awful sprain that took a long time to heal...they can be as bad as breaks!

Good morning! We had about 50 trick or treaters, and the chute delivery system was a success. Best of both Covid worlds I guess. Took a walk with the grand girls yesterday, but that's about it for exercise this weekend! All in all, it really felt like a weekend. Things accomplished and relaxation happened.

QOTD: Big game cat like a lion or tiger with a puppy so we could have the beast at home. I always want to pet the tigers. And I love their huge paws.

Menu:

B: emie pie egg salad

L: leftover shrimp relleno omelet and black beans

D: Today is the hubs 61st birthday and he picked his favorite Italian place in our village. I'll probably end up with a couple meatballs, and the toppings from one slice of quatro formagio pizza. And a glass of wine.

Peace everyone!

I read once that our cute little house-cats are basically the exact same animal as big cats in the wild, just smaller...but they said that if our little cats were the size of tigers they would maul and eat us in a heartbeat. Sounds about right.

I read that too, JB. Trish claims all of the hostility has been bred out of house cats, but I think they just know they are too small in their current state.

Yup...sounds right!

my opal was upset I stopped paying her the attention she likes and just reached over and bit my arm. Not hard enough to drawl blood but enough. She is the resident queen B. She also nibbles on me when she is happy too.

Ohio used to have very lax laws about owning wild animals. You just had to get a permit and could have a lion, tiger, panther, leopard or other animals as house pets. I had a friend who found a yellow kitten in a junkyard in Florida. He took it home and it grew rapidly. When he took it to a vet, he found out it was a lion, not a house cat.

He raised it in the house with his kids and it would lie on the floor and nap with the babies, just like a house cat. Wally had a full mane and liked to greet visitors at the door. They did not get any door to door salesmen that stayed once Wally looked out the window and roared.

We were all in our early 20's and thought it was fun. Now I realize how crazy it really was.

Good afternoon, all!

we had to deal with garage door issues this morning - then I had my Zoom exercise class, and then Mah Jongg, and then I had to run some errands before going to the doctor this afternoon to repeat a test that failed last week (pap, of course - ugh! I'd rather have my blood drawn again!!), so I'm just now getting on here. I'm going to bike over to the doctor's to kill two birds with one stone. Otherwise, I have to squeeze a bike ride in here somewhere, too, and with it getting dark so early now, that might have been tough. So...

accountability was awful yesterday. Actually, it was fine until last night when we were cleaning out the refrigerator (my favorite chore...NOT!). I came across some dried figs I'd forgotten all about, so I finished off the box - just in case it gets lost again, you know - and that was like 10 figs. Do you know how many calories are in dried figs? Trust me, you don't want to know. Anyway, after that, I went to the basement and did a half hour of Zumba, because that's all I could tolerate. This week I'm going to need to be really careful and try to exercise every day. I DON'T want to get off track!!

yes I do think the stores are starting to run low on inventory again. I had to try four stores before I could find canned pumpkin. Canned pumpkin! Stores should be bursting at the seams with it this time of year - it's almost Thanksgiving! I hope they plan to re-stock soon - and have plenty in the back, too. This is nuts!

TSS: 5y4m

B: plain Greek yogurt with 1/2 C strawberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: Fit Frappe

L: well, this was supposed to be a chicken sausage with 1/4 C sweet potato casserole, but instead I had a piece of protein pumpkin pie with a small piece of sugar free baklava

AS: Greek yogurt with 2 T Kashi Go Lean granola, maybe an apple

D: chili (made with turkey sausage)

ex: 45 minutes of a cardio/strength Zoom class, about an hour of bicycling

have a great rest of the day, all!
