What's on your Saturday (Halloween) menu?
My MIL had this. She ultimately had this weird thing where her colon twisted on itself and had to have surgery to straighten it out. They affixed it to places in her abdomen so it wouldn't recur. Really strange.

P.S. I just heard back from Janet. She sat in the ER for six hours, and they just gave her Valium and sent her home. Her neurologist is on vacation this week, so she's going to ask to be referred to someone else. She's feeling a little better, but still... At least she's back home again. What a horrible thing to have to deal with - I feel so sorry for her!

Thank you so much for the update. Really praying for Janet and that there is a plan of action SOON!

Don't be too hard on yourself re: your self imposed birthday deadline. You may not be where you want to be by your next birthday, but you're not where you were two birthdays ago either.

Good morning! It's really pretty here today, but oh so dry! Return of the Santa Ana's and single digit humidity. My body is like one big sandpaper block. Got a list of things to accomplish today leading up to serving the birthday girl dinner tonight. She's nine. Picked tomato soup for dinner. We are like, WTH? Lol. We decided we'd bump that up with grilled cheese for everyone. Gourmet style, so we have to go to the fun cheese place, get groceries and I need to pick up my husband's birthday present for Monday. Decided on a very pretty French press coffee pot in Stainless for taking in the RV. He has a Nesspresso machine here at home and misses a good cup of coffee when we are out in the rig. This feels like a good treat for him.
Last night's dinner turned out to be one chicken thigh and two glasses of wine. I know my body is going to be hungry today, so I'm going to do my best to feed it as healthy as possible.
QOTD: I think I'll go with a scarecrow.

L out, so I will push for a Chipolte's chicken bowl, no rice
D I will have some cheese and some pepperoni slices and yes, a glass of wine.

Nothing much going on today at Casa Tek. I've got some work I want to get done so sometime this weekend. I'm putting off starting because I won't stop until I'm done.
QOTD: A rogue.
Food today is totally up in the air.
As usual, Mongolian BBQ is on the table as it has been for a couple weeks. We just never manage to get there. So I'm not holding my breath.
Happy election day weekend. Vote early, vote often.

The virus is setting new records everyday for new cases and deaths. So I am back to staying inside and doing grocery pickup and lots of Amazon. At least I know now how to deal with it better. I never mark anything as accepting a substitute. So I am not getting a lot things that I don't want.
I am spending my time cleaning out closets and going through things I had put away and forgotten about. I just found a tube of Clinique face cream that was probably very expensive and more than 10 years old. I am just pitching it. I had put it in a container labeled creams and never opened it up again. I have never had so much time on my hands as this last few months.
