My DSD gets showered, dressed and hair done before her zoom day starts. But she does skip makeup - she started wearing her glasses all the time so no one could tell.

When I worked from home prior to retirement there was never a camera and though I always planned to clean up during lunch sometimes I got so involved in work it wouldn't happen until the end of the day. So I was one of those all day PJ people.

I have had people who turned down work on camera, even though it would mean more money for them, because they have gotten used to being all day PJ people. I keep thinking about getting permanent makeup on my eyes, eyebrows, and lips. My sister is an attorney and she did the permanent makeup because it make it quicker when she had court early in the morning.

I thought she looked like a clown at first. It did fade away and now is completely gone. If you want to keep it up, you have to redo it every year or so. I almost did the microblading of my eyebrows this summer. But the thought of pain, long healing time, and risk of getting infected keeps me from doing it.

I also see brows that are beautiful, but not suited to the person's face and feel bad that they can't see how they look to others. I think people figure out what works best for them. I saw one guy wearing glasses this year with a blue tint that are supposed to help with eye strain from staring at a screen all day.

I microbladed my eyebrows last December and I put it up there with lasik and RNY as best things I ever did for myself!

I wear so much more makeup since being home because with zoom meetings I have to stare at my own face all day when I am in meetings! I just sit there and criticize my wrinkles and face constantly, so I am basically wearing stage makeup for the camera, now, lol.

Good morning all and happy Friday! Yesterday was pretty much shot work wise. I went first thing in the morning to the office to get my flu shot and I'm glad I did because as soon as I got back home I got a call from the tech who was supposed to come by and fix my internet saying he knew we had a scheduled time, but that he was just around the corner if I was home and ready for him to come right then. So they were pretty much at my house working on it from early that morning until almost 3 that afternoon. Good news is I now have a functioning internet again thank goodness! And they also talked me In to changing my tv providers and getting a bundle internet/tv combined deal with them which saves me about $50 per month.

Accountability was good yesterday. Weight is still up, but I guess I should be thankful it hasn't gone up any more, but it needs to start going down ASAP!

QOTD: I'd say I've been cursed with being shy and not being able to express myself well/small talk or make friends easily.

B: coffee w/Splenda & sf creamer x 2

B2: protein shake

L: 2 oz roast beef & a hard boiled egg

D: ???

S: L&F Greek yogurt & an apple

Glad you got a good deal out of it! It's just crazy what they charge for tv & internet these days!

You look fantastic Julia. I do think we are our own worst enemies sometimes.

Still waiting for news on my grand nephews birth. They have been at the hospital for 25 hours now! Mike and I are going to my Florida place tomorrow for a week. I hope he likes it there.

Before and after: I was thinking recently when climbing stairs that I used to lug up another 100 pounds with me. Amazing really - no wonder my body had so many aches and pains!

QOTD: I was cursed to sweat like a man when I exercise. It always surprises men but I have been that way my whole life. Soaking wet hair after heavy exercise (lovely, huh?)

TSS: 4 years, 7 months

B: Coffee!!! WW zero point egg/banana pancake

L: Everroast chicken and laughing cow cheese

D: Grilled grouper and broccoli

S: strawberry vanilla yogurt pie

You guys are so lucky . I barely sweat at all even working out in strong sun when it's hot enough to give me sunstroke.

Ive had to learn the hard way to go out the minute it dawns in the morning enough to see - at least in the Florida summer .

You look so young now ! Looks like you're from the same family but not the same generation
