Thoughts on Gatorade Zero
I'm literally struggling to get enough fluids in at 3 weeks post. My dietician suggested I try flavored water by adding crystal lite but I find it is sickly sweet. I have tried to cut back on powder and use more water but same thing. I found Gatorade zero the other day and it seems like a good alternative. No sugar, no carbs (unless you drink a ful 20 oz then it is 2grams) I'd like input on what some of you who are farther out think of this as an option. The elecrolites in it being a problem or not. I seem to be able to drink more of it than just plain water so hoping it will be good.
I used it. It is a great alternative. I also used Mio the squeeze 0 calorie water enhancer (orange Vanilla is my favorite.) Also check out Protein2O about 60 calories but has 10-20g of protein depending on the type you buy. Drinkprotien2o.com They have deals and I think you get coupons if you sign up.

Alex - I mostly drink Bai, but I think people like Gatorade Zero, Powerade Zero, Vitamin Water Zero and bai, at least.

Of course! Try all of the zero cal drinks and find what works for you. I think I drank Sobe Water almost exclusively for the first 2 years post op.

Try your water at different temps too -- I find that sometimes I just can't drink much super cold water/tea but I can always drink warmer or hot drinks. I mostly drink my water at room temp (and I've never been a "needs ice" person even before WLS).
