What's on your Thursday Menu?
Good Morning JB and Menuers,
That meme fits me to a T. I don't know why when I finally get to relax after a long day the urge to snack is unstoppable. I wish I could just stop but the snacks continue.
Well it cleared up enough last evening to get my run in. It was gray and gloomy but not wet. Today the weather here is cool and rainy and I don't think it will be nice enough to run outside again until Saturday fingers crossed. I really enjoy those runs outside but I will improvise.
QOTD: I am not doing Halloween. I usually hand out candy but I don't want to take the risk. We also go to a costume party that also has been cancelled so our costumes are on hold as well. Maybe next year.
Accountability: Just read today's meme. Story of my life. Last night it was apples and that honey Carmel apple donut yogurt, figs, peanut butter, and pumpkin spiced Almonds.
Accountability: I had some figs, peanut butter. Apples and I found a toxic yogurt at Aldi I think it is caramel apple donut and it is 200 calories per serving and 23g of sugar. Ugh just awful macros but I did use it sparingly as a dip for the apple.

I'm Free!!! Covid negative and back at my office. I knew it was allergies!
QOTD: after much thought, we are going to offer candy. Our street normally sees between 300 - 500 trick or treaters. We live elevated a bit from the street, so we have rigged up a chute that will keep the littles 15 ft or more away from us. We expect a great decrease in visitors, but for the ones that come out with their family groups, we did not want to disappoint them. I really worry about the long term effects of social distancing on the young people.
Long post from me today, so I'm sorry, not sorry!
So today is my 1-year anniversary of my surgery. It hasn't been an easy year, but it has been a year full of learning and changing. Listening to what my body is really saying, and making my body move more. Rewarding my body with healthy choices and balancing rewards with emotional happiness. I'm really, finally, happy that I went through with it, but for months I would not have said that. I know I will always have to fight this fight to make the right choices and exercise, but for the first time in my life I don't feel like my body is a traitor. Now when I eat reasonably, I can expect the scale to reflect those choices. Before, I just kept gaining. Month after month. If one more person told me "calories in, calories out, is all you need to watch, you'll lose weight" I may have punched them. I know that for the last 3 years minimum, I subsisted on less then 1200 calories a day, 99% of the time. I've been tracking for years. For my body, it just didn't work. The final straw was the first 4 months of 2019. I started 100% on WW on New Year's day. I occasionally went over my daily points, but I never once used up all my weekly extra points. I quit drinking (wine, I only drink wine) completely and made all our food fresh every day. Stopped going to restaurants, no snacks, no fried food. On my birthday, April 2, I had lost 2 pounds in 4 months. Screw it I thought!! Birthday dinner out put on 3 pounds and every month after that had me to my previous plus 1 pound a month. I had tried phentermine, WW, metformin. Nothing worked. So I talked to my primary and he referred me for weight loss surgery. Because I am blessed with really great insurance it went fast. First appt was mid-August, surgery October 29, 2019.

Hi all
we have no power due to storms but my cell has battery so this will have to do for now.
so food plan will be refrigerated based no cooking. Cant use wood stove-needs to be chimney swept because some birds made their way in and died ...
so:
b- iced coffee with premier as creamer
plain yogurt, 1/2 of a fiber one bar and topping and 1/2 serving of fiber one cereal.
b2: depends if power is on, either chicken sausage and eggs or shake or more yogurt lol
l: not sure depends
d: really depend this might be apple, yogurt day
qotd: nothing... dh bought Kit Kat's and Reese's and Pb m&ms and has eaten them all.
Oh No No power sucks. Hope it returns quickly. Those PB M&M's never would have lasted in my house either. Glad it was him and not you eating them. That is some awesome willpower.
