Good morning everyone.
we had more thunder snow/sleet at 4 this morning. Not that I was sleeping anyway. I am exhausted and run down. Had a rough negative self talk last night that's hanging over into today. My legs hurt really badly during the night and I may of cried a few times.
I forgot to mention that social security finally filed my appeal on the 21st of October. I'm so stressed out. I was able to stick to my food plan fairly well yesterday though. One day at a time as they say.
JB's QOTD: I don't know that I'd want either. I think my cats would be dropping profanities left and right. My dogs...don't really want to know why one eats poop(we have talked to a vet...he thinks it was because he had to fight for food as a pup and he's a wuss). My chihuahua...she is queen bee. I imagine her throwing out commands! LOL
Janet's QOTD: music has saved me so many times. I listen to it all the time. When my pain level is high(which is usually all the time) I listen to hard rock to metal for the most part. I have a playlist I listen to during the night. It has a lot of different stuff.
b: oatmeal and coffee
l: cauliflower soup(which turned out freaking amazing!)
d: chicken, squash with fennel
s: popcorn, coconut yogurt with blueberries

Melody, have you ever tried any frequencies to listen to? I have used them for everything from migraines to depression, and everything in between. You can youtube most of them, and listen to them in earphones. It will sound similar to music you may hear in a yoga studio, but the frequencies are sort of hidden in the music. I listen to music with 432HZ when I'm working and need to concentrate. Just a thought.

Let it begin with me.

Thanks for the suggestion! I have lots of time on my hands today so I'll be researching that! Anything is worth a try. I appreciate it!

Thanks! I need to try it. I used to do tapping and it helped too but fell out of it a few years ago. I need to get back to a lot of things!
I talk to my cat all the time and think she understands what I am saying. You can tell by her actions. If they had the ability to speak in our language, I believe we would be amazed at how much they understand. Now if I ask her to do something, it depends on whether or not it is what she wants to do
Sorry about the vacation not working out, but glad you will get the following week. It is hard to believe that this year is almost over. The holidays seem so lonely this year. The virus is getting much worse here. People who were complying are getting lax, and there are the antimaskers and the covidiots with their mask under their nose. I think people will try to have holiday gatherings and we will see a lot of cases after Thanksgiving and Christmas.
In most of Mexico, they have really contained it. Someone is at each business door to give you hand sanitizer, then you have to step on a mat filled with sanitizer. If you are caught in public without a mask, the police take you away. Either you pay a large fine or stay in jail.
Still there are some localities there allowing people to hold weddings and events with large amounts of people, so they will continue to have surges in those areas.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Mornin' All!
I have my annual physical later on this morning. I was PM'ing my weight loss/maintenance partner last night (also a WLS patient - we often presented together when we worked with the pre-op classes, which of course my clinic isn't doing now because of COVID). Anyway, we go to the same PCP. Among other things, we were talking about how we STILL dread being weighed, even though we're normal weight. We hated it when we were SMO, and then we were afraid of it when we got too low - and now, we dread it even though we're normal. WTF?? I wonder if everyone dreads being weighed at the doctor's office, even "normies". I asked DH, who's never had a weight problem. He said yes - he's always worried about being weighed. What gives?? I'm up about six lbs since my last physical in March 2019. My weight loss partner said she was also, but the doctor didn't seem to care. At any rate, she (doctor) didn't say anything. Although the doctor is probably 15 lbs overweight, so she probably WOULDN'T care. And I know a lot of people have put on a few lbs this year because of COVID, so they probably see this all the time (crap - there I go worrying about it again!!). OK - I'm going to stop worrying about it!! This is one of the "bad" years for getting a physical (mammogram and PAP), so worrying about being weighed seems particularly insane this time around!
QOTD: I can usually tell what they're saying, because with mine, it's usually "feed me". So I guess if I had to choose, I'd have them understand me. Like - "please get off the keyboard, Mommy needs to work". Or "you just ate". Or like JB said, "this is why you have to go to the vet's".
I ate too many calories yesterday, so I did two exercise sessions in my basement (that one for seniors that my gym did (why do all these Zoom sessions my gym does seem to be for seniors? Maybe the younger ones still go to the gym. Whatever - but I need something more intense). I also did a WERQ one after dinner last night when I realized I'd gone over my calorie limit. Weight was OK this morning. Still, I need to watch it today...
I don't really listen to music anymore except when I'm doing certain types of exercise or I'm in my car, but I really should. I know it's beneficial. I like listening to Tibetan singing bowls - or nature sounds like waterfalls or rain - when I'm trying to meditate or just relax - I should do more of that as well.
TSS: 5y4m
B: I'm thinking protein pancakes with plain Greek yogurt and some kind of fruit compote (apple or strawberry). Coffee with half & half
MS: probably nothing since I'll be at the doctor's for awhile - I'll have my usual protein shake this afternoon
L: cottage cheese with 1/2 mango
AS: protein shake, maybe a skinny bagel (I've been eating pumpkin hummus on a sheet of graham crackers lately instead of the planned skinny bagel, but I need to eat these damn bagels before they go bad!)
D: salmon with a Vietnamese-style sauce, Thai cucumber salad
have a great day, everyone!
