YES and I love it! Green apple--a little tart. But I think apples pair well with everything so I might be way off here :)

Mornin'!

I'm going to do another Zoom exercise thing today, hosted by my gym. Stretch & Strength. It's intended for seniors (which I guess I technically am...), so it's not intense enough for me, but that's what's available, so I'm doing it. It's too cold to exercise outside, and I'm not going to the gym, so... I did a youtube Zumba class last night that someone from Vietnam was doing. It wasn't like the Zumba we do here at all, but boy did that thing kick my butt. According to my Fitbit, at one time my heart rate got up to 171, which isn't good (although average was 125, which is perfect). It didn't seem like the moves were that intense, but wow - they evidently were. I may do that again later today.

QOTD: I love sunny days in the 70s. Perfect weather. My favorite months in Wisconsin are May and June, because that's when we usually have that kind of weather.

TSS: 5y4m

B: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with strawberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: pumpkin protein shake

L: cottage cheese with diced mango

AS: either L&F yogurt with a skinny bagel (and light cream cheese) - or some pumpkin hummus on a graham cracker

D: 1/2 Beyond Burger on a slim bun, Thai cucumber salad

have a great day, everyone!!

Good morning, everybody!

We had a great weekend in Colorado, so happy to have all of our family together. We flew out on Wednesday afternoon (yay for Southwest empty middle seats!) and met DD at the airport. Later we met my son for pizza in downtown Golden. Our Airbnb wasn't ready until Thursday, so we stayed at the Ritz Carlton in downtown Denver on Wednesday night.

Thursday morning, we checked out and drove down to Colorado Springs to hike at Garden of the Gods, which was beautiful - I will have pictures on Friday. My son had too much schoolwork, so he didn't go with us.

Friday, we mostly hung out in Golden and had lunch with my son.I think he likes school. His grades are good so far. I worry that he is socially isolated because of the COVID restrictions, but he seems fine. He says that he and his roommate talk about 3 times a week. I guess that mostly, they sit at their computers oblivious to each other.

Saturday we hiked North table and South Table mountains in Golden and were ready for a good nap when we finished. Near the top of North table, we saw this collection of bones, including one that had a hoof. I think that the predator was a mountain lion and the prey were mule deer. At least, that's what I read. Yesterday, we flew home.

This was my third flight trip since COVID and it seems like the airports are getting much busier. I'm still coughing from my September 18th illness, so that gives me extra room, LOL.

QOTD: I know exactly the type of day that JB is talking about and love those days too. Also, most parts of fall

We haven't done our post travel shopping, so the menu is subject to change.

Breakfast: Protein bar

Lunch: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Dinner: TBD

have a great day, all.

I don't remember ever seeing an empty middle seat on Southwest. I used to get ear infections on planes so often in the winter. It had to do with the pressure in the cabin during takeoff and landing. It was much worse on some planes in Europe. The passengers over there would all smoke until they got on board the plane and then hand out gum to others before takeoff.

They were very nice people, but it seemed like someone was always sneaking to the bathroom and trying to get in another cigarette and then setting off the smoke alarms. The cabins were not as well pressurized on some of the smaller planes. There was also a lot of smoker's coughs during the whole flight.

It is sort of funny that you have a cough and people are avoiding you.

Your trip sounds like a great time.
