Happy Friday all! So glad we finally made it to the end of the week! Plan on going by tomorrow to pick up my new glasses! Fingers crossed I still like them! Other than that, no real plans. May meet a friend for lunch. I need to get her daughter a birthday gift. She's turning one next month. I'm torn on what to get her. Originally planned on getting her a new outfit, but she has tons of clothes already so I'm thinking of a musical stuffed animal or maybe a book?

Well my dentist appointment yesterday didn't really go as planned. Not sure if I should be happy or what. They took more X-rays and tapped and poked and looked around all to tell me there is absolutely nothing wrong with my teeth. Dentist said they look great, but that it could be my sinuses as he's seen a lot of that lately. Either that or it could be from me grinding my teeth. He said my teeth looked a bit worn down which usually indicates a teeth grinder. So maybe I do grind them in my sleep? Anyway, he recommended a mouth guard to wear at night to help. Unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover them so it would cost me $400 unless I get one over the counter which he said are bulkier and more uncomfortable. I just can't see spending $400! Lol. So anyway the plan is to just take some Tylenol until this passes. He said normally it will come on for several days and disappear for a couple weeks or so. I'm relieved there is nothing majorly wrong, but at the same time frustrated that there isn't a quick fix.

Accountability was really good yesterday! Stuck to plan 100%! I even bought a jumbo pack of Reese's peanut butter cups and filled a Halloween bag full of them for a friend who came over last night. He loves those. I'm proud of myself for not eating a single one and now they are out of my house and in his possession! So obviously I do have some self control! Lol

QOTD: I'd have to say at my dentist appointment yesterday. I was sitting in the dentist chair having a serious conversation with my dentist about my tooth issue and there was a patient in the next chair over and he was just snoring away VERY loudly! My dentist could not keep a straight face and said "that dude is getting some good sleep over there!" The snoring stopped and we went back to our conversation when suddenly it started back again and we both busted out laughing again! Lol.

New walkers love toys that they can walk and hold onto, so maybe you can get her her first baby doll carriage or something like that!

Your snorer at the dentist is hilarious. Can you imagine being able to sleep anywhere like that? I think Grim could. $400 is insane for a mouth guard! I would try the OTC one--how bad could it be?

Glad that you don't have any bad tooth issues to deal with and hope the Tylenol helps. At times, I've used a sensitivity toothpaste for a few weeks and it seemed to help.

Great job on not eating of the candy. I call that type of activity, exercising my willpower muscle. I did it most recently with the Brach's Autumn mix. I don't really crave the candy corn but love the pumpkins. Anyhow, bought a bag and it's open in a candy dish in my coffee bar for John and Em. I haven't had one.

I have been to the dentist with what turned out to be sinus pain. Claritin really helps. There have been times when I ended up with an antibiotic and or steroids to clear it up. I was sure it was a cavity. I thought it was sinus pain when you first posted. I am pretty sure that is what happened to you.

My doctor told me I could take Claritin every day of my life if I needed to. I don't do that but know now when sinus is starting and take the Claritin as soon as I feel any sinus pain. If the pain was from grinding, it would not have appeared just at the beginning of sinus season.

The ones you get in a drugstore or over the internet that you dip in ho****er and then bite into to make a somewhat flexible mold ARE EXACTLY THE SAME as what your dentist charges so much for grrrr .

( And they're the exact same as sports mouth guards as well )

He/she just takes a tooth mold and sends it off to be made from the exact same transparent flexible material... and you get a cute plastic storage case .

I know this because one of my endless list of stoopid jobs because I couldn't keep my weight low enough perform ( or so I imagined - plus size wasn't as accepted then as it is now) was as the office manager for a dentist !

Some people find mouthguard ok to wear at night- a lot of people find they can't sleep with them in. So definitely try the cheap version first just to see if you can sleep

$400 for a Mouth guard. So ridiculous. I wouldn't get it either. Hopefully it will pass and not more worries.

hi all

still not woken up but coffee is going in body. so excited for weekend though really nothing planned. need to get oil changed tomm and go to sam's club. might see if my mom wants to meet me there. might order their 'premier' version drinks as I'm really back into using as coffee creamer and also generally have a souped up shake also. I like extra ice, Splenda, etc.

got DH pizza last night and I made myself one out of lavash wrap, perdue chicken strips, cheese, and 1 pt marinara. it actually tasted really good.

QOTD: hmmm probably the bear incident this week. here are the pics, bear hair on door and muddy prints on glass.oh and the blind puppy accidently walked all in the paint my DH spilled last evening on the porch. then he munched on ANOTHER pair of my hub's glasses. this time it was the insurance paid ones so not happy but have to laugh... also-- the bad bad boy...

food plan today: shrimp, air fried mushrooms and radishes. something that involves the use of a smartbun? I bought 2 the other day and have not a clue what to put on it, was thinking turkey burger patty?
