What's on your Monday Menu?

Happy Monday, Team! Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was good--very productive! Grim and I bought and planted a few new trees, and continued on working on cleaning out closets and donating tons of stuff. We also accepted an offer on the house! There was a bidding war on Saturday--so exciting! Fingers crossed that it all goes through. If there are no hiccups, the closing will be right around Thanksgiving. Yay!
QOTD: What food or drink is your local area known for loving? I saw this about Boston the other day and had to laugh. We love our coffee!
My food choices were okay this weekend, but we did get a pizza last night because we were too tired to cook after a day of pulling closets apart. I have leftovers today but I promise to be good about not devouring the whole thing.
Good morning all! It was also a productive weekend for me as well as I got a lot accomplished. I finally went Saturday to pick out my new glasses. They are purple this time. They may take awhile for me to get used to as I don't believe I've ever had glasses in that bright of a color, but purple is my favorite and I really liked how they looked when I tried them on.....well at least what I could tell about them as I'm completely blind without my glasses so I was basically looking in the mirror at a blurry blob! Lol They should be ready for me to pick up in about 7-10 days so that's when I'll be able to tell more about them. Fingers crossed I still like them! Lol
Accountability was pretty good yesterday.
QOTD: Sweet tea
B: coffee w/Splenda & sf creamer x 2
B2: protein shake
L: 2 oz low sodium turkey breast & a hard boiled egg
D: leftovers of some sort (clearing out the fridge)
S: L&F Greek yogurt and an apple
Surgery: RNY on 1/23/19

New glasses are so exciting! I can't seem to limit myself to just one look, so I keep getting the cheap pairs at Zenni and I have 5 different looks now to suit my many moods and outfits. I just hope my prescription doesn't change much in the next year or they will all be trash!

I love Any shade of purple and lilac on redheads ! And I am JUST like that cartoon lol !! Always hoping the flat ass will poof out magically :)
I went rollerskating ( the first exercise since I got back) ( on quads , they're safer here in the rain and sandy conditions that stop inlines in their tracks ) which is a little annoying cuz they're not that fast or maneuverable. Skated about six miles , went to cross the road to the condo and saw a car coming- so turned back and did a SPLIT inadvertently. Of course I wasn't stretched or prepared ( this is a very hard trick in disco skating ) and pulled the whole back of any left leg including my ASS muscle !!!
Which means I can barely sit down a day later on a thousand cushions , really am struggling to sit on the toilet ( was peeing standing up in the shower until this morning ) and am generally in pain, grumpy, bored and limping around like a hundred year old.
At least I have a valid excuse to postpone hated cleaning!

I use EYEBUYDIRECT for my glasses and can get 4 pair for the price of 1 from the optometrist office. I love being able to change my look and match to different outfits. New glasses are the best.

Good morning JB and menu crew! I totally feel that meme, as soon as we finish butts at the Pilates studio, I always ask if I look like JLO yet!
Whoo hoo for bidding wars and congratulations! On the coffee qotd - 50% of those sales at at Dunkin, right? So many dunkins in Boston!
qotd - I would say green chile everything or Rocky Mountain oysters (maybe micro brews).
This weekend was tough, my end of day presentation on Friday did not get the result I wanted, right after I finished that the bad news I was expecting all week with my colleague came and so I had to make a lot of painful calls. Saturday, I ran errands, had a massage and then watched a zoom performance out on by Theater of War, a performance of Antigone called Antigone in Ferguson followed by a community organizer presentation. We also had two more fires breakout in more populated areas so the number of people I know prepping to evac seems to get higher by the day. It's all too much sadness and stress. Sunday I just stayed off line 100% and read, watched tv and checked out a bit.
Back at work today, and I'm going to go vote this afternoon; otherwise nothing exciting planned!

Yep so many Dunks in Boston--it's hilarious how many places have them literally across the street from each other or multiple on the same block. I used to work in the financial district and my walk from the train was about 1/3 mile and I passed 1 Peets, 1 Brueggers, 1 Au Bon Pain, 3 Starbucks, and 4 Dunkins along that walk alone!
Sorry to hear about your rough weekend. I hope you were able to recharge on Sunday

Our city has been waiting for a Dunkin to finish the process of opening in our city forever it seems. Toss us a bone 2020 lol.
