What's on your Thursday Menu?
I wanted to do a quick check-in.
This flare up started about 5:15 on Monday evening and has changed but not ended. Sleep is difficult because there isn't a position for my head or neck that can take any pressure. The last cycle I couldn't even have a shirt collar on my neck, but it was horrible in the first week or two and then eased off. Strangely this cycle, it took about 2 days for the bruise to heal and then I honestly didn't have much pain. Until Monday evening...[cue the spooky music].
Working really hard to make the best choices that I can make, but the pain often causes nausea and then healthy food just makes me choke. About a cup of Rainbow Goldfish happened but they did help my nausea. I did also manage to get out for a gentle walk around our neighborhood. A beautiful day!!
I have an appointment with my neuro this afternoon for a hands-on eval of what has improved since January, what has NOT improved and whether or not there's anything that can be done. Super nervous and frustrated. Now for some deep breathing...
B1: Double Bergamot Earl Grey tea w/ 4 oz Carbmaster milk & Miralax.
B2: Unjury mighty bite protein bar, 1 clementine, 1c of blackberries
L1: protein shake
L2: ? Carbmaster yogurt w/ raspberries
S: EverRoast chicken, grape tomatoes
D: veg-bean soup
E: hopefully a 5-10 minute walk
Have a great day everyone!
Janet

Gentle hugs and positive energy being sent your way. I hope the appointment goes better than expected.

Thanks my dear. I usually get through these appointments by just slowing my breathing or actually just trying to remember to breathe! I never drive to the appointments any more (and DW doesn't drive at all). It often costs $100+ roundtrip in Uber/Lyft, but I'm way to sick to get myself home safely.

Please check with your insurance company and see if they cover your rides to medical appointments. It is becoming very common with insurance companies now. I get a ride if is to an eye doctor, in case they dilate my eyes and make it difficult to drive home.
In winter, I will often use the service to avoid driving in the ice and snow. I found it was available by looking at their website. I have Anthem.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
That is terrible that it cost so much. You should Nextdoor. It is a neighborhood app and I always see people on there really ready to help when needed. Good luck with your appointment. Sorry I am not closer cause I would definitely be driving you.
