Wow, Jim, that is awful! I?m very glad that you are solidly on the mend! That?s one scary experience - and how unexpected! Wishing continued vibrant good health.

P.S., sorry for the weird punctuation. It happens whenever I use my phone to post.

PPS: wouldn't you know it didn't mess up punctuation this time? Lol!

Good morning! JB -- take some time and rest. With the stress you have been juggling, your body is telling you it's tired!

Another warm day here. We hit 100 yesterday. Southern California and our Santa Ana late summers. Blech. But it is definitely getting dark much earlier and light later. It's still dawnish outside so at least I can "see" the seasons are changing. We are supposed to stay hot through the week.

Oh man did I have the munchies last night. I was not even hungry, but I was up pacing and looking in the pantry and fridge every 20 minutes. I managed not to eat, but that was a first for me. In fact, I was hungry all day yesterday, which seems weird because I was almost all protein in my choices. Hoping for a less hungry day today.

QOTD: ALL the political ads. ALL. In fact, there are only a few commercials that don't irritate me I think. We are using Prime, Netflix, Hulu more and more so that we don't have to watch the ads. Especially this close to the election. Speaking of that, I've got my vote in front of me and plan to be wearing the I voted sticker by tomorrow!

Menu

B: HB egg/cottage cheese

L: half a taco, 1/4 refried beans

D: It's my monthly date with my BFF and we will share chicken fajitas, hold the tortillas.

Peace everyone!

Good Morning JB and Menuers,

Just getting back to work after a long weekend and not really ready to start yet. So I will spend some time here before I dive in this morning.

JB Selling your house? I was not aware this was in the plan. I am sure it will not take long because everything you post is completely adorable. Have you found a new place already? Good luck on the adventure. Also glad your feeling much better today fingers crossed for a negative Covid-19 test.

QOTD: I rarely watch commercials and right now can't think of any besides the political adds that get under my skin.

As I popped in to read a little over the weekend I see we have a few people binging ****t's Creek and wanted to let you know I am on that train. Just finished Season 1 and DH and I are really enjoying it. Did you know that Chris Elliot started his career as an assistant Production manager for Letterman. Still funny after all these years.

Accountability: Yesterday I bought salted Carmel humus at Aldi and used honey crisp apples as a vessel to get it in my mouth. Pretty good but not as healthy as I would like. Sugar is higher than I like.

TSS: 2 years 10 Months and 2 days 133.2 (lowest 130.8)

CB: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Pumpkin Spice w/Miralax and Fiber

MS: Oikos Triple Zero Blueberry and a Berry mix

Exercise: 3 Mile run (Maybe after work it was raining this morning.

Everybody have a Great day.

Brightest Blessings

Chrissy

I haven't tried the salted caramel hummus but I HAVE tried a couple of chocolate varieties. I started making it myself and using monkfruit instead of sugar. There are recipes online for the chocolate kind - not sure about the salted caramel one but who knows??

Maybe I can try it with Salted caramel Torini. I know I have Tahini and chick peas in the house so I should have all the ingredients.

actually, I did see some recipes on the internet for salted caramel hummus. Although some of them would be harder to modify, with others you could probably just swap whatever sweetener they use with some artificial sweetener...

Mornin' All!

well nice surprise this morning - my weight is lower than it's been in MONTHS. I have no idea why because I've been eating at the top end of my range - if not over by a bit - for the last several days. Hmmm. Maybe it's a fluke - I'll see what the scale says tomorrow before I get too excited.

I have three classes today (all online), so that's pretty much my day. I may go for a bike ride late this afternoon since bike riding days are numbered. It's only supposed to be in the 40s starting Friday. UGH.

QOTD: I never watch TV (except occasionally at my MIL's, but she only has CNN on, which I don't think has any commercials), so....I have no idea!

TSS: 5y4m

B: a piece of protein pumpkin pie with 2 T light Cool Whip, coffee with half & half

MS: Fit Frappe

L: turkey slices with a side of leftover eggplant tagine

AS: not sure. Maybe half a jumbo protein pumpkin muffin with cinnamon Carbmaster yogurt (?)

D: more turkey slices with some other vegetable side

have a great day, everyone!!
