Hope you are feeling better, JB. I have a question. We got a notification from our high school that our son can't graduate next year unless we fill out the FAFSA form. Do you know why they are doing this? we never filled it out for our other children.

that's weird - I worked in a financial aid office for awhile a few years back (well, like 20+ years ago). FAFSA is just for determining eligibility for financial aid - for college. So the situation you described sounds - weird.

hmmm....evidently this is now a thing in Illinois (as well as two other states):

I think it started in 18 and it's a requirement in 5 or so states. Apparently there are lots of families that could qualify for aid but aren't aware so in the attempt to help more people they're just requiring it for everyone. At least that's how I remember it being discussed then.

I remembered that there was some ruling on that and so I googled--it's required in certain states now, starting in 2019--including Illinois!

Good morning, everybody!

So, before I get to the commercials that I hate, there is a commercial that I love. I thinks for Allstate and a woman is lying in bed. Instead of getting out of bed, she just starts rolling up in her covers. as she continues to roll, she gathers drapes, shower curtain, rugs et****il she is just a big ball of blankets and other household goods rolling down the neighborhood streets, chatting with her neighbors. The music is Bill Withers, who I don't know, but fits nicely.

I went to my olympic weightlifting class yesterday. I'm still not at full strength, but was able to do all the reps of my normal workout, so I do feel like I'm getting back. I do get weird abdominal cramps when I am stretching, which is common for me when I have been sick. And I'm not coughing at night.

QOTD: All political commercials, both sides.

Breakfast: protein bar

Lunch: Chicken

Snack: nuts

Dinner: Hello Fresh

have a great day, all!

glad to hear you're feeling better!

I remember Bill Withers from the early 70s. "Lean on Me".

Thanks, Cara. This was a tough one. I lost 16 pounds in 11 days. The doctors said that it was my body going into shock over some dental work I had done. First time i was ever scared to look at the scale because the number was too low.
