G'morning everybody!

Oh JB, it's gonna be rough today. Hang in there. Those poor kids and those teachers. What a mess.

Well, survived another debate, and sounds like somebody is chickening out of the next one. Never thought a fly swatter would be so funny.

QOTD: Don't know if I shared that I went to a catholic school, for girls only, run by nuns...all 12 yrs of school!!! DH says that's why I'm so weird. The elementary years we had only nun teachers, so there weren't many I liked. But I remember in high school I had a stat teacher that at the time I thought she was the hippest woman walking on earth. I wanted to be her when I grew up. She was tall and willowy, with strawberry blond hair cut like Princess Diana. She made statistics fun and interesting, even for a kid like me who hated math.

My meals yesterday:

  • B: coffee + scrambled eggs
  • L: TJ chicken fajita
  • S:quest chips + avocado tzatziki
  • D:beef and broccoli, no rice for me.
  • E: 30 minutes cardio + 50 minutes strength training

Happy almost fri-yay, everybody.

Good Morning JB and Menuers.

JB just got to say I am glad I am not you. Sorry your job is taken you down this broken path. Hopefully it will all work out for the good.

So today is my Friday, Didn't really have planned to take time off until I realized I had 4 vacation days to take by October 21st and this fit in the work schedule as the best time to take them. So I don't want to sit in the house and eat all day so I think after I run and shower me and DH are going to take a Fall Foliage ride to Shanksville and visit the Flight 93 National Memorial. It is about 2 hour ride and it should be a beautiful fall day.

QOTD: I never had any teacher really impact me in a positive way but in first grade I went to a catholic school and being left handed was a NO NO. The Nun used to slap my hand with a ruler. That did not sit well with my mom and even though I was only 7 I will never forget my mom MFing the nun for hitting her baby girl. LOL Hence my potty mouth today. LOL

Accountability: Grazed dinner instead of making a plate. When I do this it reminds me of a Tea towel I bought for a friend that said, I cleaned out the refrigerator and everything was delicious.

TSS: 2 years 9 Months and 27 days 132 (lowest 130.8)

CB: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Pumpkin Spice w/Miralax and Fiber

L: Cilantro Lime Chicken and Snack select

D: Leftover something my fridge is full, Probably Zucchini Pizza bites and a Mississippi Pot roast.

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and my blood work has been great. My B12 has been High so I cut my sublingual to every 3rd or 4th day. And I have now added 500mg of Magnesium

Exercise: 3 Mile run (Done)

Everybody have a Great day.

Brightest Blessings

Chrissy

my niece (now age 23) had a pre-school teacher who kept trying to "correct" my niece's left-handedness. I was floored - what is this, the 1950s? Hard to believe this happened c. 2000...

Good morning! I had a good day yesterday food and movement wise! I managed to get in over 13 miles on my bike with only a little assist boost every now and then. I read by the sea, did some crocheting, and tried to relax. Not 100 % on the trying to relax, one of our girls notified us she had been tagged in contact tracing for Covid. Her Dad also works for us. We had to send them both home, and that created a ton more work for everyone else. With me taking a vacation day, and one of our girls still out on maternity leave, work was pretty overwhelmed and I was stressed out about it. On the flip side, I could no****ch the debate so I didn't have that stress, nor the laugh regarding the fly situation. So that might even out the day.

QOTD: Ms. Barsoon. Second grade. Lemoore California. I was already in my third school because of my dad's Navy career and I was very unhappy and scared all the time at school. She was like a goth hippie. Long hair, short skirts, tights with holes in them. But joyful and caring and I was very attached to her.

Menu:

B: egg and cottage cheese

L: leftover 1/3 porkchop and a bite or two of potato

D: TBD but probably left overs. Need to use up more leftovers. We leave the beach tomorrow, so the less in the fridge, the better.

Peace everyone!

Yay! Earlier post for me today! I'm not feeling great and am hoping for a relatively quiet day. I have a headache and feel really run down. I think the emotion of my friend's diagnosis and being strong for her, combined with the energy suck of the new puppy has just hit me today. Trying to find a work project that I can focus on.

QOTD: My 10th grade english teacher. She was amazing and very helpful to me. my 12th grade AP english teacher was horrific. He basically had me convinced not only that I would never pass the AP exam, but that I would not get into college. I went to my 10th grade teacher, who was on the committee that wrote the AP exam and she helped me immensely. She had me come in after school to write responses to old AP exams and she would grade them for me. Apparently he was known in the department for such behavior (why they didn't do anything about it I have no idea). To this day, I remember my first semester final exam question in his class "The wheels of the Gods grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine." And Go. I didn't have to take my final exam in his class because I came down with chicken pox 12 days before graduation. He said if I wanted to try for an "A" in the class I had to take the final, but if I was fine with a "C" I could skip it. Since I'd already been accepted to college (sorry Mr. Smith) I told him the "C" was just fine.

My plan:

B: fairlife latte and 1/2 c blueberries

L: I have no idea. I literally have no food. Maybe eggs?

D: steak. I didn't make it last night as I didn't feel like eating

S: probably an apple with a tbs of peanut butter before outdoor spin.

E: outdoor spin. It's throwback thursday and the subtheme is Divas. It should be a great ride.
