What's on your Tuesday Menu?

Happy Tuesday! I am happy to report that I slept like a normal person last night. Whooo! I think it was the cool temps that helped. I woke up at 4:25am and just laid in bed for an hour on my phone because the temp was so perfect under the covers! I would still be there, except that my cat was rather insistent that he be fed...
QOTD: When is the last time you wrote a poem? We always do fun things for our Wednesday staff meetings, and this week we are writing Haikus to tell each other about our week. I haven't started mine yet! Before that, I used to write poems with my students all the time. First grade poems are epic :)
Food was good yesterday. Thankfully it was a small pouch day. Fingers crossed for another :)
P.S. HAPPY FIRST DAY, KELLY!

It's definitely getting cooler here on Long Island.
Purchased a little electric heater to put behind me at the kitchen table ( where I work) to take the chill off when I don't feel like doing the elaborate clean ashes-fetch wood-crumple cardboard routine of setting a real fire in the wood stove ( thankfully that option still does warm the whole house) and am using a ceramic space heater ( and warm cuddly cat) upstairs to sleep.
Obviously this " happy state " ( still have no ho****er either ) won't last long - I MUST get busy trying to fix the storm broken gas line the Isaiah underground storm surge pressure broke to the main house before hard frost sets in .
This , plus an Oct 16 deadline for a HUGE and very important project, plus needing to start the dock restoration when I can't even find the wholesale dock folks ( or their phone number even ) on the internet ( they're THAT old fashioned lol ) combined with - no working dishwasher ( that's a tragedy in my world), no working stove, barely working dryer and NO SHOWER !! is just a bit too much pressure ... reading this I'm like PLEASE get OVAH Urself GUHL...
B- Giant never-ending Chai tea latte , walk to and from early morning twelve step beach meeting
S- Probably part of mini fruit tart with extra sugar free fresh fruit filling added on top before warming.
L- Fat free fresh broccoli/cauliflower Mac n cheese made yesterday .
S- Commercial Lobster Bisque hacked to half fat with fresh lobster meat added ( wasn't hungry last nite )
D- Greek salad
Midnite Snack- Kettle cooked air popped popcorn w organic raisins and a bit of cereal for taste .
By the time my fall garden looks right - its gonna FREEZE . Its already getting too cold to pleasantly work on it when the sun's not shining... Why do I always feel like I'm barely catching/keeping up with the responsibilities I've taken on?
I wrote some super-awful poetry when I was " stuck " in the bed from drinking ... before that my last attempt was something about Ishtar or Jezebel or all of those rebel Grrlz deleted from the Bible ... also awful. A poet I am Not.
Good morning all! Another busy day of work ahead. Accountability was ok yesterday.....could have been better. Decided to have a protein shake for dinner last night instead of the leftover steak and salad I had planned which probably wasn't the best choice because I got hungry later and the munchies kicked in full gear. I only did that because I bit the side of my mouth yesterday and it has been sore ever since so I didn't feel like having to chew anything.....especially steak.
QOTD: probably high school or maybe college. Seems like I wrote one in college too, but high school sticks out the most.
B: coffee w/Splenda & sf creamer x 2
B2: protein shake (premier protein shake mixed with a frozen banana)
L: 2 oz low sodium turkey breast and a hard boiled egg
D: leftover steak and salad I did not eat yesterday
S: L&F Greek yogurt and fruit

The other day I was remembering how FULL I used to get while drinking shakes. Remember when it was impossible to finish one? Oh how I miss those days :)
Oh yes! Definitely miss those days! If it were like that now I would have been already met my goal and then some! Lol

JB,
This made me laugh. I remember asking my surgeon if it was okay that I ate a whole yogurt! Those were the good ole' days!

Ah yes....the yogurt! I'd many times have breakfast lunch and dinner off of one yogurt. Sigh....those days are long gone now. I wouldn't mind at least having one day per week of eating like that now. Sure would be nice!
