What's on your Thursday Menu?
G'morning everybody!
JB, that meme was how I explained to everybody the amount of workout the first 4-5 months of quarantine. Figured we were in prison might as well buff up. Happy to hear things are calming down for you, but I really hope schools go online for the rest of the year.
Have been gone for a bit, hope y'all are ok. Not much going on but sporadic stuff happening.
- we sold the kids' car. I was hoping it would go to another first time driver but a lady bought it for herself.
- During the weekend I watched all 8 episodes of the home edit. Not a good thing, because now I walk around the house trying to see what I can organize or re-organize. DH is in mortal fear that I might start on his garage.
- I watched the debate and didn't have a coronary! Went to bed with a massive headache, though.
- Our ring alarm malfunctioned and sent a signal for a fire. DH was out surfing, so no access to his phone. They called me, while the ear piercing alarm was going off and I told them there was no fire. But they had already sent the firefighters. Keep in mind it's 8:00 am and I'm still in my pjs. Thank god my pj consists of shorts and a tshirt. I was so embarrassed when I had to open the door for the three fire fighters. They went through the house checking for CO2, just in case. The whole time I had my arms crossed, to cover the girls, and I'm sure they thought I'm some sort of entitled woman. I felt so bad. One of them was REALLY cute, I tried to smile but the fact that the alarm wouldn't turn off was not conducive to talking. In the mean time between the ring company and me we had called DH like 30 times. Long story short I had to put up with that piercing noise for a good 1 hr 15 minutes.
- I had told myself I wouldn't buy the sf pumpkin creamer, because I know my weakness. But I gave in when I saw both the pumpkin and the peppermint bark creamers. Let's hope I can stretch them out and not finish them in a week. Also, I already saw egg nog at my supermarket. I understand they are trying to rush out 2020, but jeez it's barely Oct.
QOTD: mine are all faces : 1) the one with wide eyes, 2)laughing crying 3)face with hearts around it 4)eyes closed, tongue sticking out 5)the one with one eyebrow up (mostly reserved for DH).
My meals yesterday:
- B: Protein coffee
- L: TJ chicken fajita
- S: fage yogurt + sf syrup
- S2: keto triple chocolate bar - yuck, so not worth the calories or the carbs.
- D:spinach meatloaf
- E: 30 minutes cardio+50 minutes strength training
Happy almost Fri-yay, everybody.

Shelia so glad your back. I was worried you were being effected by the fires. Meanwhile DH got my Pocket Shawl done and just in time for the fall weather. He matched it to the hat you made me and I am loving it. So glad you mentioned it in your post.

Mornin' All!
My feet have been killing me for two days. I'm not sure if it's muscle cramps or stress fractures (I did a lot of walking a few days ago in not-very-appropriate shoes (because I didn't anticipate I'd be walking), and supposedly having osteoporosis is a risk factor for this type of fracture). In either case, I just have to stay off them as much as possible and stretch them out occasionally. I have a heating pad in bed with me, but my elderly cat keeps taking it over every time I get out of bed to go to the kitchen or bathroom or whatever. I just returned from the kitchen and moved the damn thing over to the other side of the bed so he could sleep on it. I think I'm going to need to buy him his own heating pad. He's 15 years old and probably has some arthritis, so I'm sure he loves it.
I was hoping to do some biking today (should be fine for my feet), but it's supposed to rain off and on all day, so maybe not. I guess I'll do some gentle yoga instead since I can't really be bouncing around on my feet. I have my two classes today (one professor only posts his lecture-of-the-day from noon-6:00 pm on the day of - the other one keeps his lectures up indefinitely. We have a hair appt this afternoon (DH and I), and mine includes a color, so we'll be gone for probably three hours - so I'll need watch the first lecture around that. That usually take two hours since his lectures are so dense and he talks so fast that I need to rewind a lot to catch what he said. I also need to do some reading for my classes. And if I have time, I have several virtual presentations to get caught up on (related to a couple of the organizations I belong to). So...there's my day!
QOTD: I'm a luddite when it comes to emojis. In fact, I never use them on my phone, because I pretty much hate phones and only use mine when I have to. On my laptop, the only one I ever really use is the "thumbs up" one - for "I agree", "congratulations", "that's great!", or "I'm kind of getting tired of talking so let's bring this to a close".
TSS: 5y3m
B: plain Greek yogurt with blueberry compote, small banana, coffee with half & half
MS: Fit Frappe
L: piece of yogurt pie
AS: I'll be at the hair place. I should probably take a protein bar with me just in case - I don't want to come home at 4:00 or 5:00 and eat everything in site...
D: probably a vegan burger on a skinny bun, 1 C broccoli slaw topped with 1 T Asian-style peanut dressing
have a great day, everyone!

Hope your feet just need a break and you don't have any fractures. Funny about the cat and him needing his own heating pad.
