What's on your Wednesday Menu?
Late post, but I'm trying to keep the streak alive! 3 whole days. LOL. I had an early morning. Puppy was up early and I took him out for an hour, since it'll likely be his only time for outdoor activity. 107 today. Sigh. Then I had a follow up appointment with my hand surgeon. Neither of us are happy with how I'm healing. I'm completely swollen and having an inflammatory reaction to the trauma of surgery. He wanted me on an NSAID, I said no can do, and we compromised with a course of prednisone (which I think i can take). I'm hoping it helps. So, I basically started my work day at 11:00.
QOTD: Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
My plan:
B: Fairlife latte and 1/2 slice of raisin challah
L: Leftover enchilada bake innards
D: steak I think
E: outdoor silent disco spin (which with the temp as hot as it is, may kill me)

I TOTALLY missed the debate because I have no TV in either ( cold state ) place since I am officially "just camping" ( for several weeks now ) ... I also am missing more essential things like HEAT, HO****ER, a working REFRIGERATOR ( in the City place- and IKEA where I bought the new model that won't turn the cooling back on though it runs ) LITERALLY doesn't EVER answer the customer service helpline phone.

Yesterday was a City day for me ( I have to drive in regularly just to take a SHOWER grr since the underground gas line to the country house busted in the storm) .
I did also give out the results of a BIG PROJECT which I am very proud of having completed and am totally nervous about hearing back regarding ... whose success or failure stands to determine much of my future ...
I foraged in the City as is my wont. Took bites of - Chicken Parmesan (buffet )
miso- dressing roasted Cauliflower cold salad ( meh.. not worth the fat calories in my opinion) -
Quinoa-Kale fresh veggie salad ( meh) -
beef stew w plantains ( buffet ) -
beef brisket w roasted Brussels sprouts and root vegetables ( meh) -
Asian cucumber salad w sesame oil and hot pepper ( Korean) YUM but super-hot especially half an hour AFTER eating
Shrimp ( meh)
Lemon cheescake dessert from Pret - 400 decadent calories and I scarfed down the whole thing !
Green fresh squeezed juice
giant Chai tea skim/ unsweetened latte and a half a can of fruit flavored seltzer
See what I mean about food hoarding ? The remains of all this are now in my refrigerator waiting to get old or get given to the raccoons the size of small dobermans that visit my porch every night ( I think they'd take the BUS given the menu lol)
Dinner after seven Pm- popcorn air popped , Raisin Bran w organic raisins, ( dry) some left over lite cheese plate from last nite and a but of Greek salad- hot chamomile tea w skim milk.
Up at 4 am and back at em-- second project to finish, dockwork to start ( THAT's a BIG job! ) .
Was hoping to drive South soon at least in time to attend my good friend's mid-October in-person pool party but the chances of being able to leave before Thanksgiving ( and before the REAL cold sets in and makes it impossible to work ) are getting ever slimmer ... :(
