What's on your Tuesday Menu?

I find the scenes of the flowers and animals to be very relaxing...plus the accents and they are all so nice to each other. I've seen all the seasons on Netflix multiple times because I find it soothing.

Mornin'!
my adult education class starts today (it's on the upcoming election - by a retired political science professor. He teaches something related to political science every fall (to adult learners), and I sign up every year! He is great!!). Anyway, so I have that PLUS my other two classes today - the history ones I'm auditing through the university. So I'll be here most of the day - other than around the noon hour when I'm meeting a friend for lunch (outdoor dining in 55 degree weather - should be interesting....). It's nice and sunny out but I'm not sure I'll be able to get out. I really need to exercise, though.
QOTD: we have two freezers - our one that's part of the main fridge (in the kitchen) - and also the one that's part of our old fridge (in the basement). They are stuffed. Off the top of my head: microwavable meals, a bag of shrimp, sirloin steak, Italian sausage, meatballs of all types, Beyond Burgers, vegan (vegetable) burgers, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, all kind of nuts, flaked coconut, ice cream (including homemade protein ice cream), SF popsicles, yeast (which is probably dead by now), cookies, sweet potato casserole from last Thanksgiving (believe it or not, it's still OK! I take a Tupperware full of it out once in awhile), a frozen pizza (cauliflower-crusted, of course), some spices that I don't use very often, a couple of bags of frozen vegetables, homemade turkey broth - hmm....can't think of anything else. But A LOT!
TSS: 5y3m
B: protein pumpkin pie with 2 T light Cool Whip (it's that time of year again!), coffee with half & half
MS: Fit Frappe
L: at an authentic Mexican place with my friend. I'll get my usual two tacos (on 4" tortilla - meat, onion, and cilantro only)
AS: Greek yogurt with berries
D: Costco chicken skewer or a couple slices of turkey breast with this spicy potato dish (1/2 C) that I found the recipe for on epicurious - it's the third time I've made it in the last couple of weeks...
have a great day, everyone!
Our freezer is packed with meat as well since my husband loves to grill. I think we have some steaks and tenderloins in there as well as a few frozen meals that I have picked up here and there to help with my planning when meals are not on point for my goal. I have found some great bowls in healthy choice and lean cuisine that are low carb and filling. Those are only for times when the hubs has a meal planned that isn't going to work for me though. It has worked well but he does try to get me to try something and that ends up with us arguing.
Breakfast - cold brew coffee with sf torani, 2 eggs with chopped bell peppers and mozz cheese
Lunch - Chicken burger (not sure what else at this point)
Dinner - Hubs is grilling steaks so I will have a small one and probably a salad. He has baked potatoes planned and those are my favorite but I am doing my best to stay on track.
Good news is I am down almost 10 lbs. It seems like this last week I really dropped some.
If anyone sees any issues with my food choices please let me know. I want to have this down before I go in for surgery so it is second nature.

Down 10lbs is amazing! Good for you!
Your choices are great for where you are now. For about 6 months after surgery you are going to be eating very differently--shakes, soft foods, and teeny tiny portions, and then slowly getting back up to more "normal" portions again. Just remember to take advantage of the first year and try to make it a race to get to goal in the first year because once you can eat normally again it is a lot harder to lose. You can, but just take advantage of the time you have when it is relatively easy!
Morning everyone. Two days in a row for me! WooHoo! I'm feeling incredibly lazy today so it's a good thing I have a single project that I can dive into. If I had to get a bunch of things done on deadline today, it would be a struggle. I also have a continuing education zoom at noon. Fingers crossed that I can turn off the video because I have no desire to get "camera ready."
QOTD: Meat . . . all kinds of meat. Steak, ground beef, ground turkey and chicken take up the majority of the space.
My plan:
B: 1/2 raisin challah (specially baked for jewish new year and about the only time I eat bread); latte with fairlife
L: chicken thigh meat
D: the insides of an enchilada bake from Costco, so basically rotisserie chicken, cheese and a bit of sauce. No tortilla for me
S: likely an apple with peanut butter before virtual spin.

Hi! So nice to see you here :) Sorry I didn't get a chance to pop back on and say hi yesterday. Hope you are hanging in with all of the madness!
