What's on your Tuesday Menu?

My grandparents used to have one of those huge huge deep freezers(think multiple bodies could be stored in it). They did not need it. When my grandpa passed we were able to clean it out(he had Alzheimer's and as you all know change is bad for them to handle). I think there was stuff in it from when they moved into the house 30+ years ago. We got rid of it as a freezer and now use it as storage. My grandpa was a hoarder and avid Sams goer.

I personally cannot believe that Grim does not have a giant chest freezer in the garage with meat, but he says the electricity isn't worth the extra storage.

They do cost to run. My grandparents electric bill was fairly high for our area.

Good morning! I am with Christina. So. Much. Stuff. We have 2 freezers as well. Both bottom freezers, one in the "bar" garage and the house one. I buy meat at Costco and break it into meal servings and vacuum seal them. I'm positive we are set on meat for months and then I go to Costco and go ohhhhhh that looks good! Also, my husband has breakfast and lunch heat and eat foods, ice cream and usually frozen bananas in there. The house freezer top basket is lot's of freshly cut up and frozen vegetable for easy grab and use, left over wine frozen into cubes for stews and sauces, and other odds and ends I save for putting meals together. Parmesan rinds anyone? So good in sauces. So much stuff.
I felt badly yesterday after posting that I was nailing this journey. I should really have qualified that I was speaking of my vitamins. I am still so much in the honeymoon phase I know I could get away with a lot. I am trying very hard to learn good habits so when that restriction/malsorption goes away, I'll be able to maintain. Anyway, my post felt insensitive to the challenges we all have.
My husband bought me a new e-bike yesterday. It's Amethyst in color and so pretty! I might take it out for a short ride after work today. I need to get some miles on it for the experience. The e boost is no joke, and I need to get comfortable with that.
Menu
B: emiepie egg salad and coffee
L: left over meatballs. 1 and 1/2 and parmesan whisps.
D: I forgot to take anything out of the freezer!! I'll call my husband in a bit when he wakes up to do it and then I will work around what he picks. (Please don't be steak! )
Peace everyone!

I am excited about your new e-bike. I bet it is beautiful and hope you post a picture. I just ordered a recumbent stationary bike for winter and think I will get an e-trike in the spring. There are a lot of trails around here and people that I could ride with. I have just been afraid to get on a traditional bike because of fear of falling.
Also with an e-trike I would not be worried that I would be too slow to keep with other riders. I grew up riding a bicycle everywhere and did not even have a driver's license until we moved outside of town where it was not that safe to be on the highway on a bike. Back then I thought that cars made people lazy and I would rather walk or ride a bike.
There is a man in my neighborhood who rides his bike everyday and he is 87. I think I would be quite comfortable riding the e-trike. The guy at the bike shop will be happy to see me again.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good morning everybody!
It was good to hear from Cynthia and Stacy yesterday.
I am recovering day by day. I decided to continue with plans to go to Oregon to celebrate two of my Partner's retirement. Our fiscal year ends September 30 (I'm Greatsix on Thursday). Out of us four couples that travel together, two of them will retire Wednesday.
I will have to keep the wine intake to minimum, because I'm still weak. The pictures we have got from their first two nights around the fire pit have included 9 empty wine bottles and 3/4 of a bottle of Glenlivet. But I'm sure there will be some good food to help me to recover.
QOTD: No idea
I will try and eat three meals today.
Have a great day, all!

Glad you re starting to turn the corner. I think the alcohol will kill off whatever germs are left in you, right? :)
200 years ago, it would have been cutting edge medicine!
"James, we are considering leeches or wine, do you have a preference?"
"I'm going to go with wine"
