What's on your Monday Menu?

Good morning menu crew and thanks for getting us going this morning JB.

I've been up most of the night sick with stomach issues. Fun. I decided to step away from FB for a week or so. It's just so stressful anymore. It used to be fun now everyone is just angry. Don't get me wrong it has good points(I use it to help sell tutorials on Etsy). I'm just tired I guess.

I'm off to apply at the district clinic and hope they'll pay for the neurosurgeon. Ugh. My stomach has been in knots. I'm one heck of a mess.

Qotd: this is not to offend anyone but the Bible. I still believe it has some good but I used to be so into it as a young kid...knew all the books and all. Now I see a book that was put together by corrupted organizations. Maybe it's just the cynical in me.

Its been a few weeks since I quit FB and its been the best thing to happen to my mental health in a long time. I miss the mindless scrolling, and photos of kids and pets, but it's still a huge weight lifted.

I never ever ever had a Facebook account. But I love Tic Tok if your missing the scrolling thing.

Growing up Roman Catholic in the 1950's we were not allowed to read the Bible. We could only hear parts of it from a priest or nun who would then interpret what we were to actually believe.

One summer, when I was about 10, I did sneak and start reading it on my own. I was really surprised by the stories in there having so mu*****est, violence, and hatred.

I am still on Facebook and still getting into arguments with strangers. What I am doing to them lately is quoting from the bible. Numbers 5:11-31 outlines God's command that a woman who had intercourse with someone other than her husband should be forced to drink the bitter waters so as to have it cause a miscarriage. That is what God said about abortion.

I know the prolife people have never been told that and I know they look it up for themselves. It tears them apart and they cannot give me an intelligent response. It makes it harder for them to say that God condemns abortion.

Thank you everyone!

nothing learned. The clinics whole computer system is crashed...meaning the whole hospital district. Then get this. The whole 211 and Texas DHS is down too. They took my info at the clinic and will let me know...yeah...right.

I'm so pissed off.

Just found out the hospital wa**** with a cyber attack.

She also said I should have Medicaid coverage until my payments stop. She was able to decipher things...some. I still need to find out from the 211 but still get the message that I dialed it wrong...also with the alternative number.

Good morning! At my desk after a pretty good weekend. We went yesterday to test drive a couple entry level E-bikes. Before I ever got on, I fell off and over in the middle of the sidewalk. I am a little bruised, but seriously, that was a great laugh. Very slow mo, lot's of WHOA, WHOA, WHOA, then plop. Once I actually got on it, I loved it! At one point in the test drive my husband said "you are not in any assist gear!" and I told him "I know!!! I'd actually like to be able to get some exercise too!".

I did pretty well eating this weekend. We went out for lunch both days, but I made really good picks, and now have leftovers for this week. It's a good thing. I expect a busy week with October 1 looming and the federal government refunding programs and I have to organize for a week at the beach State campground that we are going to on Friday.

I'm anxiously awaiting the results of my annual blood work. I feel like it's going to be very good, reinforcing my thoughts that I am nailing this journey. I should have them in a day or two, then a phone appt with the surgeon next week.

QOTD: hmmmmm, drawing a blank here.

Menu

B: emiepie egg salad

L: leftover seabass with veggies in white wine sauce

D: I have NO idea. We may be picking up El Pollo Loco as that works for me well in a pinch.

Peace Everyone!

I would love to start riding a bike again, but terrified of falling and breaking my hip. Do e-bikes come in the three wheel version?
