Here's my 2 cents...

I fell asleep during Enola Holmes. It was cute, but a little convoluted and clearly not captivating enough to keep me awake.

And I haaaaaated JoJo Rabbit with a passion. I don't see the need to make Nazis quirky, kooky, kitchy, and adorable.

I am just rewatching Hamilton once a week now, haha. It's the only thing I like.

No such thing as an adorable nazi, all Nazis suck - no question here. I know the satire was pretty polarizing and it's not a movie for everyone.

I think I might trust you more on Enola Holmes than many of the people that have been raving, maybe I'll put it on the save for mid-winter list. During virtual Bookclub on thursday, a friend told me she has started watching all the Netflix movies in alphabetical order -- I'm hoping to avoid that, with a back up list of "meh" but good background noise,

lol.

I think Harriet is the most amazing story that I have watched in many years.

I watched the Peanut butter Falcone early in the pandemic and really enjoyed it.

We jus****ched Peanut Butter Falcon - it was really good and touching (I think Mike was wiping his eyes at the end).

Mornin' All!

well I spent another afternoon at my mom's house yesterday trying to get a computer up and running for her, since hers is beyond hope. My dad's old PC works fine now, so she's using that. I think the issue I was having on Saturday with it was due to her internet service, not my dad's machine. Whew. So at least she won't be stressing out about it (and driving the rest of us nuts) any more. Good. It was really starting to get to me. Not sure if it's the pandemic or aging or WHAT, but she panicks about everything these days - and bombards all of us with texts, emails, and phone calls. It's getting to be a bit much. At least this particular issue is resolved.

this will be a busy week for me as well. I have to take my car in this morning for routine service. Hopefully I can wait for it since DH is going into the office today (45 miles away), and I have other things going on. Online Mah Jongg from 10:00-noon. Flu shot at 1:30. Something else after that that escapes me at the moment. A virtual program this evening. Oh well - better than sitting around with nothing to do!

QOTD: nothing lately, but I took a children's lit class when I was working on my library degree several years ago. We had to read a bunch of children's classics, many of which I'd read as a kid (and loved). OMG. The racism, sexism, and anti-immigrant bias in some of them (actually, MOST of them) was unbelievable. I know you have to consider the time in which they were written - but - UGH. It stuck out so much it was hard to focus on the stories.

As my niece informed me, I'm very lacking on my Disney cartoon viewing so I've never actually seen it but Pocahontas? That poor girl's actual life vs the Disney treatment?
