Good morning everyone and thanks for getting us started Liz!

My eating has been off skelter since Thursday. Not eating much to eating waaaaayyyyyyy to much. I made cupcakes yesterday for my nephews birthday party today and I had some frosting. It made me feel so freaking icky. No dumping but my BS went up to 180 and ewww. I also had chips and various things. Going to get back on the tracking horse today. My weight is actually down but just barely. The stress has been eating me alive.

I've got a busy week ahead. Tomorrow I've got to go reapply at the district clinic and hope they'll cover my neurosurgeon visit on the 8th. Lots of research to do on lawyers. The bad thing about that is I can't really afford it and if I do win the appeal, which I believe I will, there isn't much in it for the lawyer money wise. Lots to weigh and consider. The company I used to get it in the first place changed paths in what and who they serve so I can't use them.

I've got to be honest...I'm exhausted at the core. I'm mad though and even worse is my mom is mad. As the quote goes...I will not go quietly into the night...hahahaha. My mom is no one to make mad about her kids.

qotd: Asian...yes it's broad but I tend to like just about every thing I try. Korean is probably my least favorite of the group.

b: udi bread, egg, and a coffee

I'll post more later

Mel

Hang in there and fight like a crazy lady. Praying you find just the right lawyer who can help you with your case. I'm just like your mom-'a momma bear when it comes to my kids.

Good morning menu friends! It's a beautiful day here in the cornfields of Illinois and Miss Lily and I have our first long walk in. We'll do several more later. Accountability was perfect both food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 120.6. QOTD Mexican. I don't get it often as hubby isn't much of a fan,but every now and then he gives in. Plans for today include a bath for Miss Lily and cleaning the camper. Nothing exciting here. Here's the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz crab salad D 4 oz grilled ribeye. Have a great day full of healthy choices and stay safe everyone!

Good morning everyone! On the porch again this morning drinking my coffee. It's just so much better out here. The cats have joined me and are bird watching. My accountability was good yesterday. Ended up just having coffee for breakfast though, protein shake for lunch and then my parents invited me out to dinner with them last minute. I wasn't going to go, but mom would not take no for an answer and she can be pretty persuasive so I went. Ended up ordering the broiled flounder with broccoli and green beans. It was delicious and I have so much leftover!

QOTD: So many, but if I had to pick just one it would be Italian. Oh how I miss eating it!

B: coffee w/Splenda x 2

B2: protein shake (premier shake mixed with a frozen banana)

L: not sure yet

D: leftover flounder from last night

S: L&F yogurt and fruit

Mornin' All!

I biked 25 miles yesterday and then went over to my mom's because her health insurance company called to see if she was trying to get into her account because there were several unsuccessful attempts. She hasn't tried to get in in a long time, so someone else was trying, evidently. She's really afraid of computer break-ins in the first place, so she absolutely freaked. Her computer is a mess - I think she just clicks on things willy-nilly without thinking about whether or not something is legit, so I'm sure it's full of viruses and malware. She has all kinds of pop-ups, too. I have my dad's old computer (he died three years ago), so I told her I'd just set that one up for her - but I was having issues with it. It connects to the internet, but I can't reach any sites with a browser. He must have some sort of firewall on it. I finally left after two hours because I was too stressed to deal with it anymore - esp with her sitting behind me offering suggestions on what to do, and of course she has no earthly idea what she's talking about, and she's still freaking out to boot. I told her I'd go back there this afternoon and get it going - but I really am not sure I want to deal with this anymore, esp if she's going to sit behind me "coaching" me again, and/or stressing out. I think I'll just do a factory reset on one or the other computer, if I can. And if not, I may just go over to Best Buy and buy her a 15" Chrome book and put a mouse on it so she can use it. She's 85 years old, so there's a chance she'll only be using the thing another couple of years because of health reasons or "whatever", and although I can only speak for myself, I'm sure "us kids" would rather inherit a laptop than some clunky desktop. So that's the plan (for now...). Nothing else on the agenda for today - but I have a busy week coming up, so that's fine.

QOTD: I like so many international cuisines so it's hard to pick just one. I esp love various Asian cuisines and Middle Eastern, too - and Mexican - ah...so many. When I'm cooking at home I'm more apt to make Thai or Indian curries - so maybe those. Although if we're going out to eat and I'm really hungry, I usually suggest Mexican. I don't make Mexican food at home very often, though (although maybe I should...)

TSS: 5y3m

B: probably Greek yogurt with a fruit compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: I really need to start eating these AmyLu chicken sausages I got a couple of weeks ago, so maybe one or two of those

AS: L&F yogurt and a skinny bagel with light cream cheese

D: yogurt pie or turkey slices (I'm sure I won't be in the mood to cook once I get home from my mother's. UGH!!)

have a great day, everyone!

On one of our first dates, my husband suggested I order gnocchi. I asked him what that was and he said potato dumplings in spaghetti sauce. That sounded yucky. I did try one of his and found out I loved it.

Even though I can only eat a few of them, once in a while I cook a very small amount and have them for a meal. I grew up on meat and potatoes. I did not even taste pizza until I was in my teens. Italian food is wonderful. I also like some German dishes, especially sauerbraten.
